buy a beater at your first assignment and then upgrade after you have settled in and can see what your finances look like.
do not judge your money on the money you see during basic/ait.

man just wait it out and save up money then pay cash for it, 4 reasons for this, 1) you can get it cheaper with cash in hand 2)you need to worry about other **** when you first get in and a car note is not one of them 3)you dont know where in the hell you are gonna be in the next 6 months 4)you can save and then put some mods on it right away lol

Advice? Just remember you aint **** and you'll be alright. Seriously, like he said keep your mouth shut, do what you gotta do. Teamwork is key, that's one of the biggest things, you all gotta work together. You live together, eat together, sleep together, **** together, and most importantly get smoked together. Nothing in basic is really that hard, just try not to get your panties in a bunch if they get up in your face. If I were you I would wait, see if you get deployed, because that's a nice chunk of change, I came back with 25K on my E-4 pay, and that was only a 12 month tour. Good luck and hang in there.
Oh, yeah, if you ever pull someone over in a green Z28, don't give them a ticket!
