Air Force Rejoice!!! No more DOD Decals! Maybe no one else is as excited as i am but i am so glad to not have that eye sore on my car! Not to mention the security issue. I had the decals stolen from two of my cars one night about 10 miles from base. I often worried about the added attention my wife and daughter might get when the wrong person saw it. This also applies also to Air Guard and Reserve.
SF is telling me that they are still required to get onto other branches installations, but i've got onto numerous non AF forts/ports/bases in my wifes car w/o a DOD decal.

Smart move by the AF. My wifes in the NY Air Guards 174th fighter wing and its nice not needing that stupid decal on the car unlike me in the Army Reserve, I still need that dumb sticker if I ever go on post, which is never anyway.

I HATE that damn DoD sticker. I think there has to be much more tactful ways to get your car registered on a post/base/air field then making it stick out like that. I always worried about parking in Nashville because that sticker basically pointed out that it was a service members car and well Ive seen a **** ton vandilized just for that.

The Navy and Marine bases here still require base decals. Pretty gay since they have to check your ID anyway...I agree they need to follow the AF and do away with them.

imagine that, i work in the office that issues those car decals and we are still issuing those decals cuz of the army still requires them. 
the thing that pisses me off is that the air force doesnt require decals anymore, but these dumbasses want a sticker cuz they go to army post. if thats the case, then get a decal at an army post.
