Im in the Army, if i had to do it all over again.... AF ALL THE WAY, no doubt about it, i know more **** offs in the AF then any other branch.. but... when you need them in combat, they come with a game face. Especially to those pilots who have saved some asses out here in Iraq.

That is a military policy, not a Navy policy. But I won't deny the fact that the AF has hotter females. Everyone knows that. But if you're married, it doesn't really make much of a difference.

I think all of the services have their ups and downs, but as a recruiter, I of course only sell the Navy benefits

Quoted for truth.

Every branch has its ups and downs, but IMO you can't go wrong with any of them.

Im not sure which episode it was..its on TruTV. Well, now Most Shocking: Stopped by the Law 2 is on

Back on topic for a sec...i will say you can go wrong with certain branches if you don't want to do specific things. I dont want to be on the ground in the desert, so going Army/Marines wouldve def. been a mistake for me. I prefer playing battleship Closest I will get to being infantry is playing Call of Duty

Well Rukus, I think its just luck of the draw. I spent most of my detachment time in Key West, and for deployment I went to Japan. I was on a aircraft carrier a whopping 3 weeks over a 4 year period. Then I realized I was lucky and got out. Yes while down at Kadena I realized just how spoiled the AF is. I must have gained 15 lbs. from the food served at the base.

Living with a bunch of guys on a ship is not always a great thing. But you deffinetly make life long friends, that will have your back no matter what the situation is.<<<Pervs step away from the keyboard... ha ha

I have been all over the world as well. One 9.5 month deployment, with only 17 days in port. It sucked at the time. But if I had to do it all over again. I would.

I am an MR. its a very small rate, and is very techinical. It sucks for advancment, but the things you get to make, and learn is priceless. And usually on a ship, you are treated like a god....

Look at all the rates, don't just have your mind set on one thing, Cause you can still do MA duty, while not even being an MA..

Yea, being on the ship isn't as bad as people think it is.

That is definitely true. When I got station on the USS Bataan, I was working security the first 6 months I was there. Doing everything MAs do - taking statements, doing investigations, etc. But to get the full MA experience, you of course need to be a MA

If you want to see some cool ****, visit lots of places, and make a ton of money find a rate specific to VP or VQ squadrons...those are the money makers. If you take a billet as an aircrewman you're guaranteed to get it easy and make a killing. Like I said earlier, the CT linguists that fly make a **** ton. They get flight pay, linguist pay, per diem out the ying yang and so on...

If you wanna join the real navy... Then stay away from VP and VQ squadrons... They are a joke.. I gurantee I have seen more places then those guys have on one deployment. Then they have there whole careers.. Dumbass flyers. lol

Subs definitely take a special kind of person. I know I couldn't do it. I wouldn't mind going out on on a sub for a few days or something, but I couldn't be stationed on one..

Go Navy. I'm a CTT also and I love my rate. I like travelling and I have been in Japan for 6 years. My 2 cents, if I could do it again, I would've gone into the CTI rating. Those guys, from my experience, come out of Hawaii to ride our ships, and leave when they are done. They do not have to put up with the BS and politics on the ship. Which would make life a whole lot easier. Navy all the way, Plus I could tell you some sea stories that you would never believe.

I was in the Navy for nearly 5 years.. I was an Intelligence Specialist, and had some fun. A quick rundown, on 2 and a half deployments(Was in the Gulf at the beginning of the war), ive been to Spain, Malta, France, Italy, Greece, Crete, Croatia, and Turkey. There may have been more, but thats what i remember off the top of my head. In the beginning, the money isnt all that good, but the more you get advanced, the better it is.. I was making decent money when i got out as an E5.

From what ive heard, boot camp has gotten a whole lot easier since i went through in Nov. of 99. I went through battlestations, and had to run from place to place, all night long in boots. It was actually fun, and when we heard 'Proud to be an American', there wasnt a dry eye in the room. Those that have been through it, know what im talking about.
