how did you cure your problems wheelstanding with the orange car????

My heart was pounding that's for sure.....

My hubby built a tq arm and played with stuff but that didn't cure it 100% so we stopped spraying off the line..

I'm so scared my new car is going to hit the bumper soon. It comes in the air on motor at over 3800lbs. I haven't been able to leave the line on spray yet. We have a mini controller and we have a delay.. I don't want to ever do that again. That scared the crap out of me...

Oh and Next is the reason I said I can't wait to do that. So I know what ya mean...

Nice car brother! I know the pain from the wheel stands, but it is racing. A little more tuning for the gun and that thing should be rolling.

HEHEHE Yeah I do see what you mean.... I originally saw Pain's wheelstand and I was like "There is no way i'll ever make that much power".... cool on your new setup. That's crazy that you're doing it now on motor.... I think torque arm design is why our car's wheelstand.... I think our team is going to research some Torque arm options to keep the front down. in addition to the limiters that we are running now but haven't tried them at full tight yet....

We're definitely excited about the potential of it.... We went 6.055 in the 1/8 and i shut it down at 800 feet and got on the brakes and ran 9.54.... I had lifted slightly when it wheelied and it turned off the first unit momentarily and reset the timer for the progression to full power..... So it wasn't until 2.5 seconds in that we had full power instead of the 1.5 we had it set for.... still ran 6.055... we think it would have been a 5.90 sumthin if it was a clean pass....

My computer sucks so the video was choppy but it looked like a good one, did you get a time slip to see what your 60 ft. was... I bet it was about a tenth slow from that whole from tires not tripping it thing

For a bad one doesn't sound like you hurt all that many things, that looks like some fun racing out there.

I had my dads on the tail panel for 300 ft. a few weeks ago, all was well and fine until it ran out of fuel pressure (electric pump feeding alcohol 1250 dominator from the trunk = bad when you're straight up in the air). It got real quiet in the car real quick but it just scrapped the subframe pretty good and knocked a rivet loose... I got real lucky, came down at 320 ft. with a 1.385 on the back tires.... But I, just like you, lost the race.

60' was a 1.47 on the back tires.... yeah it's roughly off by a tenth if you cross the laser with the back so i just subtract a tenth (1.37)... It's gone 1.38 on the front tires so i know it's close... i didn't hurt much.... it was loud as hell when it landed tho.... messed up with the SYA bars, bent the steering rack bracket on the drivers side...

i do need to solve it cause going up ain't helping my times.. the crowd loves it but they ain't paying the bills...

i'll try to take some pics of the steering rack... Basically the steering rack bracket is bent that is welded to the k-mbr....

The SYA bars if you've ever seen what they look like normally were crushed and bent backwards toward the headers.... they were crumpled up in the area between the side of the oil pan and the bottom of the headers.... they were f-in obliterated.... but they seemed to have absorbed like 90% of the damage... highly RECOMMENDED for a car that does nasty wheelstands.....

I have heard good and bad things about the SYA bars. I guess for some guys they work, and others they just don't. Glad they Saved Your *** though. Too bad about the $$$$ You would of had em.
