The majority of people on here agree that the stock replacement system from Flowmaster is a little more restrictive than other exhausts when you get past bolt-on level.

Way to knock the guy for sharing.

I had a 1 chamber on mine, couldnt beat the sound at Idle...raspy as hell with LT's tho...went to a Series 44 muffler, not nearly as much rasp....BUT im gonna try to put the single back on mine with a bullet muffler on the I, to try to keep the rasp down...nice choice of exhaust.

I had a flowmaster on my car when i first bought it. After driving it home, i hopped on the computer and started exhaust shopping.

for performance..but not for sound.
He wasn't bragging about performance...that's probably why he only posted a vid of him revving...

Just a post for sound.. I have a few more of me rolling but I will post those up later. I also am planning on changing exhaust and I wanted to make a video so I had a good video to compare with after the fact and I figured I would share it.

I actually love my flowmaster. Picked the catback up for 100 bucks, flow like crap but nothing a cutout didn't fix. With LT's probably one of the best catbacks I've heard for a y-pipe, had borla and LM both raspy as hell.

Just cut off the truck tips and put some corsas on.

Borla and the LM are raspy without LT's with Off Road Y pipes yes...but with the cats on, they sound amazing. And if you are going to put a cutout on, yeah it fixes the flow, but it just bypasses the flowmaster anyways so it would be pointless

Well Borla with QTP LT's on my 02 sounded like a raspy truck with glass packs, same with the older resonator LM so I eneded up with the GMMG. Didn't feel like shelling out 700 bucks again for an exhaust kit for the 98 (Sold my 02 z and drove a lightning for 3 years), so I picked up a flowmaster kit for 100 bucks and was pretty surprised and love it.

How is a cutout pointless? Flip of a switch at the track and it flows better, alot better considering I have a reverse spit cam. Around town I leave it closed 90 percent of the time and love the sound.

I have long tubes now, FLP's were copies of the old Grot's, with interchangable off road pipes and cats. Never owned an LS1 without LT's so I am refering to a car with LT's.

Flowmaster sounds good though. The power issue though is very minimal though.

Here is my Flowmaster, I like the sound.
