the evap canister is located next to the drivers side fuel rail, its the black canister that your fuel lines run to, and the other side runs to the front of the intake manifold. Check it by running your car and putting your hand on it, you can also move the canister itself and feel if it is ticking. Simple and easy to replace, go to autozone they call it a purge canister selinoid. its only 22 bucks and just unplug the other one take the lines off it and replace.

thats what i was wondering mine got worse tonight after a oil change with mobil one??? was faint typical ls noise then made a small pass and heard it im bout to tear the valve cover off tomarrow and check some **** out im worried tho my motor is a 6.0 with 317 heads and comp cam another thing i was wondering is my car is speed density??? just got it 4 days ago lots of parts but new to the ls stuff???

found out i have a rocker or two that pulled loose gonna try to heli coil them tommarow.....needed answers had to revive the thread some of us are blessed with these fine automobiles. And are on a budget....lol
