From what I can see, it looks like your going too slow into the turn and trying to break grip too late into the turn. To slow into the turn means your rear is going to keep coming around. It's easier to practice when it's wet. Slow it down though. Just my 2 cents, I'm know expert by any means. Just my experience.

practice in parking lots without poles... get the feel down and then take it to safe roads like that one... i learned the stupid way in my 86 mustang.. floor it in 2nd going around 90 degree turns and hold on for dear life.

lol I agree with Tommy ... F-bodies aren't really meant to slide. Just practice on an open wet parking lot, you will figure it out.

Also nice T/A, never seen that one around town yet..

I definitely know I wasn't going fast enough, but I was afraid the front would get loose, I get a lot of understeer.

Also, should I stay in first or second? I was in first through all of them. Should I dump the clutch going into the turn or just smash the pedal?

Thats the problem, there's no big parking lot around here where you wont get caught by cops. There's nothing to run into where I go, besides some little rocks and ****, but I always go out there and prep the road before I do this crazy ****.

More speed, you're too slow...its never gonna stay broken loose. Start your slide much earlier in the turn then carry it around. Don't let the angle get to large, you're not gonna bring it back in if you let it get too extreme.

And if you practice in the wet, it's a lot easier.

more speed into the corner, go 2nd gear. get out of 1st. you don't have enough there to keep the power\weight\speed difference. that's a good sized turn.

Silly, be careful. My advice to you on top of what everybody else has said would be also to turn before the corner if you will before you lay into the throttle. Otherwise just don't do this sort of thing, it'll only bring trouble. Quit while your ahead.

I don't know how old you are, I'am 20 and I've had my car since I was 16 and I've learned many lessons. My advice to you would be think before you things.

Becareful out there.

find some drift practice events, i know there are some in florida. Go to one with a big parking lot with no poles, and you can learn a lot from the people there

Trick to drifting - more speed, be sideways going into the turn.
