I don't care if its real or not, I wish my car accelerated like that. 3.23's + T56 = acceleration of a school bus.

EDIT: I just went back and watched a few more times, if you pay attention to the needles when he shifts you can see the video has just been sped up a little bit, or its on a dyno/jackstands. Even with a built faceplated T56 powershifting theres no way in hell he's shifting faster than the needles can respond (with no spin), and the sound also doesn't match whats happening on the dash. The second vid he posted seems much more realistic and his acceleration isn't as fast.

i dont know, i was bored so i looked at the time it took him in both vidoes to go from a stop to 140, in the 1st video it was about 12 seconds, in the second video it was about 14 seconds. In the second video it spins pretty good, so i think they bth could be real, i was thinking there would be a little more noise, and bouncing around but i dont know. Just my $.02

I call fake, where has anybody started from 0 MPH, gone up to 150 MPH then BACK down to 0 MPH? Most high speed runs are done on highways and when they are shut down you generally cruise at the speed limit, not stop in the middle of the road.

You live in OK and don't know any long stretches of farm road where you can hit 140 and back to 0? I know plenty around here.

Even when the truth stares people straight in the face, there are still doubters. I didn't know it was required to go from a roll, accelerate, and then back to a roll to be a legitimate run.

Even in Southern California, you can jump on the highway and start from zero mph and get up to 150 and back down to 0 again. Seen it happen plenty of times. You want to know what thats called? It's called Police chasing a suspect.

But seriously. People do go from zero to a predetermined speed and back down again. It doesn't have to be done a certain way in order to be legit.

Just my 2cents.

did you miss this post(below)? its def a fast car but not as fast as the guy makes it out to be. I'd like to see a vid of it after a re-calibration.

With my 427 camaro, when it was a 427 camaro, I did 10.8 @ 129. This was at the track though. I stop watched his 0 -130 atleast a dozen times and got between a 10.1 and a 10.3. That's just too fast. Even if my reaction time was WAY off and it was a 10.8, it would still be too fast for the street IMO.

Then I stop watched his 0 - 140, right when he shifted, which with a 3.73 ratio would be about 133mph in reality. I got about an 11.7 average. If his car is anything like mine and a few other 427 fbodies ive seen, it should trap between the 126 - 130 range, which would be a mid 11 second pass in this car by this video. Which is WAY more believable then a low ten second pass like I was coming up with whewn I used a 3.73 gear ratio, especially on the street.

I also tried to figure in 4.11 gears, didn't work as well as a 3.73. At 140 on his speedo in the car, he'd only be going 121mph in reality. 121 mph in 11.7 seonds would be a 12 second pass by the time he got to the 125 - 130 mph range his car should be trapping in.

SO by the data I collected, I'm inclined to say this is a 427 3.73 gear car that needs to be taken to the shop to get some minor calibration

Look at his 0-60.

Notice how smooth the camera is? There's no way in hell that was a real launch. The camera would have been shaking like crazy.
