No...he's not. It's a standard high speed airshow pass. When the humidity is high enough a vapor cloud forms as the jet comes close to the speed of sound. I take a lot of airshow pictures as a side hobby and have a decent large format picture of an F-18 doing just that same thing at Abbotsford last year.

LOL. Dimitri I live about 15 minutes from the beach too, only in the other direction. My brother in law works at republic.

Yeah I now know that he did not infact break the barrier. I believe the state he was in is called transonic? Regardless, it was ******' cool. I've watched my own video like 30+ times.
