Sorry BlkBird I didn't realize you were in 2nd gear.
Here is my video 0-150mph with 3.42 gears, my tuning (hptuners +wideband), milled 243 heads with a valve job non ported, bre 224 custom cam, ls6 intake. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2GC7TteQDY

You got it backwards. 98's had 28#ers 99-00 had 26#ers and 01-02 had 28#ers also. 28#ers arent gonna be enough for your setup. Your gonna need some 30# SVO's which run as 36#'s at our fuel psi or something equivalent. Your 28's are gonna be runnin probably around 110% duty cycle (give or take) which is way maxed out. You wanna be around 80% which is where the 36's should put you close to. Thats definately an issue that needs to be resolved.

That video is not accurate at all, you need to have your speedo recalibrated. Sorry you are not going 50mph in 1st gear with 4.11's.

OP, don't worry about anything like 02s or getting bigger fuel injectors until you get on a dyno and see what is going on first. I wouldn't want you spending a ton of money when you don't have to. And gears make a huge difference. You can get away with having 4:10s if you are not hooking from a dig. If you are to worried about it, go with 3:73s atleast. You WILL be glad you did. I am running around on 15x8 summit stars with 275/50/15s on. No problems yet.
Oh and I read you are running a ls1 intake? That is choking the **** out of your motor! Get your tb ported if you haven't.

BTW OP get it tuned my 90-120 is around 2 seconds faster than your 90-120. I did that run with the cutout closed 395 hp / 373 tq and I am at 2000' elevation.

Oh my bad so I thought you were in 1st! So 4th gear @ 6000 rpm is 110mph for you? Funny because my 3rd gear is about 110 @ 6400 rpm.

He may not need bigger injectors. I guess if you get dyno'd at a shop that sells injectors you could just buy them right there. I wouldn't buy them over the internet unless you were sure you need them. You wouldn't want to have to pay a 20% restocking fee or somethin.

I dont want you to think Im tryin to get in a pissin match man. Cause Im not. Just trying to share my experience with him to help the best I can as most of us are trying to do. I do agree he needs the LS6 intake cause the LS1 is definately choking him on the big end. I did the injector calculater on mine and cam only I should be runnin 30#'s but I'm lazy and continue to run the 28's. Which is why Im saying he needs bigger injectors.

Man I hate to say it but my bolt on car with tuning and auto runs out that fast for sure to 120 or so. I don't go much faster I live in the mountains.
You need to get a wideband on that thing to see what kind of a/f your getting. Could be any number of things........low fuel pressure due to dying pump/clogged filter etc. etc. etc.

Get an intake and probably better injectors, then get an actual dyno tune. both my 2001 trans am and my current formula have picked up a ton of power and driveability getting a dyno tune over the crappy mail order tunes i get.
my Trans am in the sig cam only and a mail order tune went mid 12.50s@110 at best. dyno tune ran consistant 11.97's@113ish.
but my formula i had a mail order tune from TSP for the Tsunami/PRC215 setup. the car drove ok, didnt idle very well. couldnt spin the tires to save my life and i got beat by a stock evo. i got a dyno tune and put down about 275rwhp on the first pull, but my tuner did find a lose injector wire and put alot of fuel into it. next pulls were 405rwhp through an unlocked th400. I have drag wheels, 275/50/15 et street radials, rear drag shocks, front QA1's and drag springs and i cannot hook 1rst gear on the street at all.
get a dyno tune.
