I think if it was a Z06, it would have steadily pulled them both but not by that much. Most stock Z06s are about 440-450whp? So it's outpowered by 30-40whp but is about 500-700lbs lighter? I think it would have been about 3 car lengths ahead of the Camaro on that run.

I doubt a stock z06 would pull like you say...i raced a new z06 here in baytown from 30 to 120 and i was always in front...stock z06 is a 11 second car...what do you think my car runs?it ran 12.50's @ 111mph and 113mph with just a cai...now with the slayer package i gained over 100rwhp

I ran a newer Viper with the flash tune and he got me by 3 cars up to about 130 and was pulling decently above that.

Don't see how the viper lost in this race unless he was starting at speeds too close to his redline or something. The viper should be a good 400 pounds lighter and the 40~hp advantage to the SS shouldn't enable it to cancel out the weight difference IMO.
Nevertheless, I like that the SS won.. That is all that matters :thumbs:

Looks like a newer Viper and it got beat. I love how so many people rip on the SS on here but would still Stock for stock kick the living crap out of their LS1 F body. Face it, the 5th gen is a better car than the 4th gen. Good video.

what do c6zo6s trap? 124??? something like that... thats enough to take a very well put together H/C/I/etc etc etc fbody..
you ran into a shitty driver, a c6zo6 will destroy a 113 mph car, period.

its a very good rule of thumb to go by... but powerbands are a huge factor.. also just because someone has a higher trap in the 1/8 or 1/4 really doesnt matter.. the one with the lower trap could have just shifted.. that would drop the trap speed by 1-2 mph.

I love people that know my car better than me...My car ran 113mph with just a cai and tune...I have 100 more rwhp cam header's etc. i think i can trap way more than what i did basiclly stock...I raced a new z06 and i beat him...It was from 25 30 to 125mph...could of been a **** driver..I know unlike you that every car and driver aint always the same..I might race one tonite and he can rip me a new a$$hole..and i wouldn't be suprised
