Looks good, wetsand the tails and hand polish them, looks like glass when done. Most will just clear them, honestly isn't worth it.

I think I have to start all over.
I think whatever I did a few layers under is what is causing the lack of shine.

I have sanded, polished, cleared a bunch of different ways.
I am thinking I need to go back down to the VHT cause I cant get it to shine

Looks good man!

Looks kinda thin in the fog light pockets though.

And VHT That stuff is junk. Should have found a body shop that wouldnt charge you too much to scuff and tint them.

Thanx!

I will admit I am not in love with the rear.
The front, I will re-spray next spring after I see how it handles the winter.

I would go to some body shops and see if they will tint the tails somewhat cheap. If they dont know how just have them scuff your lights, then mix up black base coat(reduced and ready to spray) and mix up clear coat(ready to spray), then mix the two together and spray the tails with however many coats it takes to get what you want. Then they could also put a coat of just clear on after. Makes for a really nice durable tint finish. That VHT will fade quick in the sun.

Imo, the Evo mod needs to follow the angle of the grill. Yours drops off almost straight down and it would look a lot better if it was more angled. This would also get rid of the little vent in the black painted part protruding into the red paint which looks a little strange.

I love the 'Balt and I plan to sell the Trans Am and buy one in a few months.

:edit: never mind, I see you fixed it. Looks great.

I was going to point out that you missed a few spots in your original pics. But luckily I made it to the 2nd page to see you pretty much fixed it all.
It looks good. Haven't seen that done around here.
Idk if I'd ever sell a TA for a Cobalt though...

You need to get a wastegate and a downpipe for that cobalt!! Do they have a aftermarket computer upgrade like the Srts do?? My buddy did wastegate, downpipe and stage 1 on his srt and it was a HUGE difference

the waste-gate is waaaaay down the road.
it comes with a rather good setup. the downpipe, intake, tune would really wake it up.

they just released the stage-1 good for about 290/320, tune only.
i am getting that for my b-day in feb (the wife promised...lol)

but aftermarket tunes are in the 320-330 range!!!!
of course, with no warranty!

The stage 1 would still allow it to be under warranty though correct?? Anyways good looking cars and good luck with them. You will sit bricks when the wastegate gets on there that i can promise...
