Default Evo mod & VHT to my Cobalt SS + waxed hugger!!

Hey fellow car guys.
Thought I would share what is keeping me busy over my "at home" vacation.

I was painting my house, car and tinting at the same time....lol
fun fun

They call this the "Evo mod" for whatever reason and I liked it so I went for it.
Yes, rattled canned a brand new car!
I will keep it til it blows so i figured I'd make it my own.

base sand
LOTS of tape
5 coats of dupli-color auto "black"
6 coats dupli-color auto clear
polish
wax

I ruined the back tints so I have to pick up some more.
Mental note: tinting is not fun if you are super ****. So many bubbles so little patience!

Now its time for fun.
Hoping to meet up with the Chi town guys at Byron on Sat :woot:

Looks pretty clean man. My only comment would be on the rear tails, they look unfinished like they need a couple coats of clear to get rid of the foggy look.

I think it means that the car is under rated by most or from the factory.
I see why they call it the evo mod. Looks nice. I'm looking for a turbo ss for the dd!!

Exactly.....

It is "under rate"
From both the factory and the people who roll up next to me

Looks pretty decent. Could use a little touchup IMO but I'm picky like that

Wonder how it would look if you painted the non-reflector parts of the headlight housings black? If that's even possible? Hmm...

First pic "Whistler" Looks better, second = too stupid to do it properly Wouldn't the output from the lights be lessened if you tint the exterior of the housing rather than paint the inside, leaving the projectors/reflectors untouched?

Looks awesome and i think the first one for the tinted fronts The whistler style is awesome. My '03 Silverado comes with that stock I did a light tint of my Tails and a dark tint on my fronts. 3 coats of clear some 1500 grit wetsand paper and polishing it with some wax and they turned out like this
