I really hope Ford goes with that motor, but it seems less lkely as time goes by.
The F150 SVT Raptor supposedly was going to have that motor and yet they decided to go with a new 6.2 OHC motor instead.
Not only that, the coyote 5.0 has a compression ratio of 11:1. So Ford won't be able to sell the idea that the car runs on 87 oct, which seems like a big deal to them.
The detail that makes it most doubtful is the price. To purchase a new, fully dressed, coyote 5.0 crate engine from Ford costs $25,000.
It does look like the SHO is turning out to be a pretty mean sedan. I don't think you can really compare it to a new CTS-V though...

If I had to own a ford, it would be this one. I started a thread a little while ago about this car when they had it on tv testing it and said it had 365 hp at the flywheel.....
HOWEVER, for 45k smackaroos, I think the 2010 Camaro SS or maybe the 2011 z28 if they make it, would be my first choice......

Check out the Lincoln MKS. Much better looking car in my opinion. Looks like the EcoBoost is available in the SHO, MKS, MKT and the Flex.
Here's some drag testing of the MKS and Flex

Motortrend got a 13.7 at 103 in theirs. I assume the bigger MPH difference was because their tester had the SHO performance package which gives the car a 3.17 rear gear. Stock is 2.77

I think it is a nice car and all but it's to bad GM axed the G8 (too bad I'm not in the market for a car right now but I really wanted a G8 to be my next DD). The G8 GT had similar performance with a little less MPG's but the gt starts around 30 the SHO at 37. 7 Grand buys you a **** load of gas.

Road & Track ran a 13.6@103.8 with the Lincoln MKS Ecoboost with 2.77 gears. I'm it moves out pretty well even with the 2.77's most likely due to its ultra broad torque curve, 350tq from 1500-5250rpms. It also averaged around 21-22 mpg in their long term test which is pretty impressive considering its a 4400lbs, AWD and capable of mid 13's stock.
