I bought the motor from a member here for about 1k. The block was fresh from a machine shop when I picked it up. Add in head gaskets, lifters, pushrods, oil, coolant, gaskets and stuff like that. I resold my good block, rotating assembly, and another crank to offset some of the cost.

I had recently done oil pan, crank snout, front cover gasket, and water pump gasket, they had less then 5k on them so no need to replace them. I reused the rear cover and rear main seal (risky move I know) and the valley cover gasket I reused also. I replaced intake and TB gaskets with Felpros. I replaced the front pump seal on the trans as well as did a filter and pan gasket. For reference a bone dry 4L60e takes about 2 gallons and 1 quart to fill the converter, lines, trans, and cooler. Had these gaskets been original OEM, I woulda replaced all of them. No leaks so far

Well, fast forward 10 months and 1340 miles and this happened.

Car had a decent tune on it, it did likely needed to be touched up/fine tuned but it ran great. I only turn about 6200 rpm so I wouldn't think that would be the problem either. It appears like a rod bolt failure.
