How not to pull a motor...

I didn't bother to read all the replies to the OP's pictures . . .
BUT jacking the front of the car up in the air like that would be ultra-mega-fail in my basement garage with 7'8" ceilings. My garage is the perfect tease, the whole basement is unfinished, only a cheesy 1970's wood panel non load bearing wall seperates the garage from the whole rest of the basement. Without the wall you could easily turn a car 90 degrees and store about 10-12 cars down there or have one hell of a workshop. No lift or 4x4 trucks with the low ceiling though.

Not everyone can have an OG Buick like you!
Remove the wall, put up some support beams and make a work shop. You could charge people for storage

HAHA this is such a retarded thread. LOL @ the guys saying how he fails just for owning a 98/99 mustang, this is true tho. As it's already been stated and I agree that ramps would make my *** feel safer than jack stands. You run the risk of the car sliding backwards as the front gets jacked up, plus you save any possible damage to the rear. There's nothing wrong with that picture.

LOL @ this thread as soon as i saw the first post. thats exactly how i pulled my motor
to be honest when i did my headers i had to put jackstand under the front and then the passenger side wouldnt go up high enough. so i had to get the floor jack and a center block for more heigt. lmao. yeah i was under there afraid for atleast 5mins hoping the block wouldnt break while i was getting the header in. LOL

I see nothing wrong here either. Like the rest said this is the easiest and quickest way to pull a motor out of these cars in a garage with no lift. I myself have done it on more then a few of these cars the same way with not one problem.

I pulled an LT1 out of a buddys camaro like this nothing wrong with that, I gota admit I was a lil shocked at first when I saw how we where gona do it..... I don't see how you can take it through the top without a bracket that bolts to the intake
I would feel safer with the ramps in the rear vs. jackstands
