Default $30 dollars of Home Depot carpet installed

Here is what 30 dollars of carpet and lots of patience along with a can of paint can do for the inside of your car. I have two kids and over the years they spilled all kinds of crap in the car and ruined the carpet and the plasctic parts of the console and all. I replaced the carpet and painted the interior parts a dark grey. It's a little darker than what the pics show and I'm very happy the outcome. Not bad for $40 dollars total and a little time. I'm telling you it was trashed before. They will no longer ride in my car lol Also a couple pics of the ouside of my junk. Not bad for 170,000 miles.

Funny I found your thread because I was HD the other day looking at some black carpet for this very reason lol. You did a great job! I did notice some wrinkles on the tunnel, I'm guess they were impossible to smooth out? As for painting your panels, how did you prep before painting them? Again you did a great job, congrats!

On the tunnel between the back seats, that's just the lines of the car. This is the light weight carpet with no backing or mat. It's smooth as it can be the lumps are just in the metal of the car. As far as the paint, I just sanded down the rough spots that were scratched up and sprayed them two times letting them dry in between. Thanks man. I'm glad I did it. It took about 6-7 hours total.

Ahh... Okay that make since! I was thinking to myself, "how could he put all that time in it just to leave those wrinkles in such an obvious spot" lol.

I will be going with a black carpet so I am sure it will not show as badly, but I may use some bondo in between the bumps to make it all flatten out.

Wow, looks perfect. Where did you make your cuts so you could lay it flat in areas?
