That car is very impressive for a Stock GT! But I will NOT be trading in my Cobra ANY TIME SOON, for one of those, lol...

I like it, healthy competition only benefits us, the consumer/enthusiast! I am going to try to find out more information and get some pictures of the different trims; I am actually that curious and excited about them...

Im assuming your talking about me? And if so it doesnt matter where I post, it seems you are the only one that has a problem with it. If the mods thought I was a troll and here just to try and start problems then Im pretty sure I would be banned...

Look at my last post it clearly says that im not trying to start anything. and not only that but I post about other peoples cars here also and dont say anything bad but if you have a problem with me then you can send me a pm and leave the bullshit out of the topics. Thanks

gear ratios in the stang are 1.32:1 in 4th, and 1:1 in 5th.

just throwin it out there.

i mean that and it IS a dynojet.
Yeah it was in 4th gear and the ratio is 1.32:1 and im not sure why they did that? And 5th is the 1:1 ratio in the new trans... However, that means that the 4th gear pulls they made would actually read lower than they would have been in 5th gear... I do agree that it seems to be a fairly happy dyno but its a start so who knows, we will have to wait and see how real they are when more people get them on the dyno

lol @ ford haters. Granted it is LS1tech site however, OP is just showing the competition has to offer. Hell, I'm applauding that ford has finally stepped up (5.0 and all motor) and to put the ball back to GM. I'd like to see GM put a motor w/ less displacement, DOHC, 4Vs and make it all motor.

It's just a matter of time someone will lessen the compression of the 5.0 and put TTs even yet H/Cs/nitrous.

From what I've read, you don't have to lessen the compression. The variable cam timing will allow you to run more compression without detonation.

Of course this is all speculation.

Nitrous loves compression. There is no reason to reduce it to run nitrous.

we can talk dyno numbers all day and what gear to use what dyno type yada yada yada, lets see some trap speeds and track times that will be the biggest help when it comes to seeing how fast these cars are.

But since no one has run an 11 at the track yet all we have are dyno numbers.

well I for one hope that there are not 100000 of them on the road because I don't want to get spanked with my t/a by a mom in a GT if that thing has 370-380 at that wheels and weighs 3600lbs thats a solid mid 12 car 12.5-12.7's and that would not be good considering thats what I do on slicks.

Glad to see ford is throwing a few jabs back..
Any '05+ GT shouldn't get "walked on bad" by a stock/near-stock LT1. These '11 GTs are looking quite promising, and are proving to be ~20hp stronger than their 412hp ratings. And Motor Trend ran a 12.8 @ 111mph in their test btw.

^^ By walked on bad I mean a few car lenghts. Which is pretty bad considering my car was almost 15 years old vs a brand new mustang.

So is this 395rwhp 365rwtq or is this at the crank?
And does anyone know this answer aswell??

That particular test was 395rwhp, but another test (which is deemed to be more accurate) done by Motor Trend showed 378rwhp.

UPDATE: Motortrend finally released their testing.... Not a bad 1/4 mile time since MT tends to be a little lower
