requesting vids- ls1 vs lt1 bolt ons ONLY like the title says, id like to get videos of LS1s vs LT1s with close to equal mods, nothing more than bolt-ons please. post 'em if ya got 'em!
background info:
long story short, friend thinks my car wont pull on him. so i bet him $100 on the outcome, digs and/or rolls. now hes a close friend so i dont wanna take his money, but then again, i want to show him hes wrong, and the $100 might make him remember that.
his- 96 ws6 m6, LTs, true duals, close to bald 285 street tires.
mine-99 z28 m6, LTs,true duals, 3.73s (might get a lid here before the race, as well as some nitto DRs)

1-weve never lined up and raced, form a dig or a roll
2-the only time we played around was when i was stock, he had same mods. he just nailed it while traveling in front of me and i had to downshift and played catch up so he had about 2 cars ahead of me and probably 20mph.(i started reeling him in, but he shut down for traffic)
... i wouldnt call him a retard, he just thinks that he wont get pulled (i guess since we r same mods???). he also told me to race his buddy's lt1 since i think im so fast. (big cam, stalled auto, spray) i told him i will but not for money cuz ill lose

It depends what condition the cars are in usually. typically the LS1 has way lower miles compared to the LT1 and not to mention you bastards and your top end. I will typically get the LS1 out of the hole but they will start inching past me at the end. 8 times out of 10 the LS1 will win.
OP, if your car has alot of miles and has been beat on pretty well, and your buddy has a taken car of LT1, then it might be closer than you think. The LS1 just responds better to mods usually.
I must say, you LS1 guys sure do get pissy if you get beat by an LT1

The kid that bought my LT1 TA just ran at the track...the TA was a bolt-on LT1 weighs 3700 race weight, and trapping 109 FWIW...so a 30 kick roll race would be aweful close on a near stock LS1 car. The TA did not have LT's (mids) and no cutout also.

I don't know if my car runs harder than other LT1's or maybe I can drive it but, I've beat numerous LS1 and had numerous ones barley beat me with just Headers and a K&N filter. I raced the LS1 in this video I posted from a roll after he got headers and did an auto swap and beat him.
