Default First passes with new converter

Went to the track saturday for the first time since ive had my Yank ss3600 and nittos. car ran decent, still needs a tune bad tho. just two short clips of it. tell me what you think...

1st pass -

2nd pass -

1.97
8.35
86 mph

If you listen real close on the first pass, around 500ft out, my car cuts out for a sec then picks back up...i believe my altenator is takin a **** on me

id say for your mods that isnt the greatest...i was running 8.50's in the 8th on street tire in an unstalled auto...all it had was a lid and cat-back

If those are the nitto drag radials, you need to heat them up a lot more. Get those 60' times down, and get the car tuned, and you will be right where it should be.

dont put the nitto's in the water, more burn out, same 2k launch but roll on the throttle. tuned or not your sixty ft should be mid/high 1.60's. also what psi in the nitto's?

yea i know my 60 isnt too great...was expecting it to be better myself. first pass they still had 30 psi in them, second pass i dropped down to 18 psi...it hook better but might drop a lil lower next time and do a long burnout. i swear my car hooks as good or better on the street as it was at the track with these nittos

i never had any luck with nitto's but found they worked better for me around 24psi. what other mods to the car?

i had pretty much same mods done to mine just looser converter and went 7.70's through the1/8th in good weather and track prep. get it tuned and you shouldn't be dissapointed good luck!

like said earlier, avoid the water with nittos and do a longer burnout. i would do 5+ second burnouts at least with mine, probably 20+ track passes and bunch of street races and the tires lasted an easy 10k miles before i sold the car with them. So dont worry too much about going through tread.
