2011 5.0 vs 2011 ss In the video the guy is saying the mustang is smoking the camaro. I am calling bs, looks like a drivers race to me. There is sill plenty of room for mods for the camaro vs the maxed out 5.0 anyways.
from what the magazines say they run/trap about the same speed 12.7-12.9 at 110-111 although the mustang should leave the line better i think it will struggle once the cars start seeing modifications.

They couldn't pit stick cars? WTF is the point of that gayness on any level?
Aside from all the auto-***** on here...stock for stock they are always the 'dog' option.

They picked autos to show everyone how the comparison was so nobody could bitch about well the mustang had he better driver blah blah blah but somehow you still find something to complain about... How would I have ever guessed that
The Auto SS Camaro's have the L99 and are rated at 400hp, the 6-speed SS Camaro's have the LS3 rated at 422hp. They need to race both cars in manual, i bet the outcome will be completely different, i drove a auto ss and it was the SLOW! the 6-speeds runs alot better,
I am a Ford guy yes but drive a GM as a DD. I love both the Mustangs and Camaros. Dad has a built 69 and is original owner...I have a stock 92 foxbody GT. Drove the Camaro growing up have the mustang now.
The new Camaro SS is a powerful car yes but as stated above...it is heavy! The 2011 Mustang is lighter and has been tested already by two different independent sites to have 395rwhp by Edmonds.com and 412rwhp by Motortrend. GM needs to step up with the Z28 if they are wanting to keep up. The 2011 GT is goign to be a monster on the street especially with the 3.73 solid axle and Tremec 6-speed!
As for the motor being "maxed" out....seriously doubting that...as stated above...wasn't the 03-04 cobra motor to be pushing the limits of its capabilities in stock form...???
I really hope the GT walks away every time from the SS....then it will hopefully force GM for the Z28....bring on the "Horsepower Wars".....AGAIN!!!!

After the GTO is sold its time to check out these mustangs

The SS is the competition for the GT guys, not the Z28.
Z28 is going to be GT500 competition.
Don't be sore losers, it looks like the GT is finally faster than the SS for the first time in a couple decades.
