It is impressive, but how many new 5.0 owners will go to those extremes. Drag slicks on a brand new car? I can see the exhaust mods and tuning being done along with running drag radials. I think they destroyed the clutch getting the times. I think most new 5.0 owners will do the popular mods but wont be as aggressive as the tuner shop.

And they really need to move that 5.0 badge down a bit it would have that nostalgic look.

destroyed the clutch after <12 passes, car still had under 300mi lol. still very impressive though, 118mph is alot of mph for such small mods. and with a compression ratio of 11.0:1 i dont think they'll be able to put much boost to them

I'm sure you know how easy it is to lower the compression. Why are people so concerned about the stock compression ratio? If it doesn't fit one's application, change it. It's that easy.

1st of all, they can go FI very easily. maybe not cheap (since the parts are new), but it isnt hard. but after that, heads, cams, intake. nitrous loves compression, so nitrous loves the new 5oh.

I think that everyone needs to stop making excuses about what the car can and cant do. Its obviously a performance car. Except it or dont say anything at all I think its damn impressive for a factory car.

Whipple claims 550RWHP on 9lbs of boost on their test car.

I am a traitor and ordered one last week.

It is Sterling Grey w/ Satin Black racing stripe, 6 speed, and 3:73's

I am loyal to no one and just love anything that is fast in general.. Well. Except rice.. I still hate rice.

The MPH is impressive, that will run with LS3 Vette's (and stock GTS Vipers, lol). I'd like to run into one.

That's probably the big ? for a lot of people. I've read that with the variable cam timing, these engines will still respond very well to boost, even with the 11.0:0 compression.
