Default Video of my car idling *video capture card test*

Here is a quick video that I made of my car idling to test out my new video capture card...the clip is of my car after the H/C install through the SLP LTs/Cats/GMMG...

Video Clip (right click, save as)

The camcorder is a Sony MiniDV, the capture card is an ADS PYRO 1394DV, and the software is Ulead VideoStudio 7. I don't like the software, but I plan on replacing it with Vegas.

What O/S are you running? I have a Gateway and I'm running XP and the install couldn't have been easier. I am shocked, I thought I'd have some trouble, but it was truly plug & play. You may want to check with ADS, maybe there's an updated driver that will help you out...

Actually, it's just a firewire card (IEEE-1394). My DV camcorder has a firewire output, so it's a direct digital connection. I've heard good things about the capture cards with "breakout" boxes that allow analog inputs such as RCA, but I have no personal experience with them.

Actually, I get the same mumbo jumbo when I try to open it unless I open it directly with Media Player. Don't know why this is...unless I didn't encode it properly???

MoNkEyZQ8 - I payed about $50 for the firewire card...it's an ADS Pyro 1394. The ones that do the analog-digital conversion are more...I believe they start around $70 or so...
