Default Lets see a Gas Ford do this!

My old man was coming home from work and he was climbing the grade at out shop complex when he ran out of fuel. I was working on my truck and my uncle tryed pulling it with his 1500 Ram RCSB....needless to say the little 318 didn't have it in her (I'm surprised she didn't **** the transmission).

I get my truck back on the ground and try

4 Low, 1st gear (5 Speed) 100% stock 154K mile truck power wise (Even stock clutch)...I think she did a ok, took it like a champ!

Wow... Way to yank it.... ... DON'T do that! That's how **** gets broken, chain, hitch, frame damage, trans damage, drive-train damage.. etc etc.. Creep it and gradually put tension on the chain/strap. Don't yank it.

A diesel p/u truck can pull an empty bob tail without a problem. Especially in 4L. ****, the gear reduction from the engine to the tires in 4L is something around 64x multiplication.

^ You don't yank it dude.. It's seriously not good.. (laughing, not being an ***) Even on the tractor trailers, you can still hurt something.

Yeah, you can build it tough as nails with uBer housings, axles and susp parts, but yanking stuff isn't good.

Your not supposed to yank something when towing it with a chain. But with a rope its not as bad. At the dunes when someone is stuck you yank them out with a rope because it absorbs the energy and its not really yanking. We have some heavy duty straps that we use, not just any nylon rope lol.

Actually, my comment about yanking it is directed to when you are in the sand dunes, or some other off-roading scenarios. But never yank a heavy vehicle/object when on asphalt or concrete. **** gets messed up when you do that lol

You have a 5 speed manual with a 6.0? must have been a conversion because only the 4.3 V6 and 4.8 V8 came with that from GM. The 4.8 5 speed would mate up to a 5.3 or 6.0 without a whole lot of trouble but i'm like 90% sure that didn't come that way from GM.

Nice pull. I wouldn't get too boastful about what gas engine Fords can and can't pull though.
