For the love of God.
The definition of muscle car has changed, just as cars have evolved. It is accepted that the so called pony cars are basically another type of muscle cars. I have between 6 to 10 books on this subject and in every one of them the F-bodies are included as a sub-type of muscle car. Remember the GM advertisement of the 4th gen Trans Am? "The muscle car lives, the new Trans Am by Pontiac".
The Corvette is considered more as a Sports Car though.

Man this thing is still going!! Lol.. Guys.. It seems this is one of those never ending arguments!! To each its own opinion.. Muscle car/pony car.. Whatever.. Lol I still think and always will say they are pony cars.. But let's get back to the thread here.. Mr. President, those are some pretty clean cars nonetheless... Can u send some of those special pics my way now lol.. Hey u guys have like a maroboys chapter or section in Fresno right?

Muscle car like many other terms is opinion based.
ORIGINALLY muscle cars were A Body gm cars, chargers, etc
pony cars were never muscle cars, they were small cars with small engines, then people started putting bigger engines in them and people began to refer to them as "muscle cars"
A corvette is not a muscle car, it is a sports car.
Also I don't consider any new car a muscle car, muscle cars died in 72. If anything I'll agree they can be called new muscle, but still meh.

F-bodies and Mustangs (and the other pony cars) aren't mid-sized cars... they're compacts. So actually, anybody should be able to see how someone would argue that they aren't muscle cars. But let's not muck up this thread too bad
