I loved it, but I drove it a total of 4 times from October of last year to May of this year. I wanted someone who would use it to buy it.

The hood is a WS6 hood (functional). The car is not a true WS6. All the WS6's I found around here were automatic and $14,000, or 150,000+ miles. This was the least expensive one with under 100,000 miles in the area with a functional ram air hood. IMO it's not worth spending $5000 more for an auto trans and WS6 hood/suspension, or 50,000 more miles.

Mod-wise I am going to keep it how it is with the intake and exhaust. Not much more I "need" right now. May be able to get some wheels for very cheap at work since we have accounts with Mickey Thompson, Cragar, American Racing, The Wheel Group, Ion Alloy, PDK, etc.

For MPG improvements (It's better than my M3 already but wouldn't mind more) what should I be looking at?

Thanks!
Nice buy man! Do yourself a favor and sea-foam it, then replace the plugs, fuel filter and oil. Next, look into some cheap headers and mid-pipe, get a tune for it and watch your MPG climb further. It's not uncommon for LS F-bodies to get around 20-22 in the city and as much as 28-30 on the hwy.

Not only will the headers/mid-pipe and tune wake the car up, it will help improve mileage as well for a pretty cheap investment.

I've been watching that one one craigslist for the last couple of weeks. Yeah I'd remove the stripes if it was me.

Have fun with it!

Do yourself a favor and don't sea foam it.

I'm happy to see this thread has turned away from raking the OP about what he paid and what he traded. These threads usually turn into that and I think its a damn shame...I remember how excited I was when I purchased my car and the last thing I'd want is for someone who didn't think I made the correct fiscally responsible decision for them to let the wind out of my sails.

Its a nice car, enjoy it, and if it was a good buy for you then thats all that matters.

Man I cant help but feel like you got taken on this one. If your happy thats all that matters, but they got ya on this one. I only paid $14,000 after tag/tax/title rolled in on mine from a dealer 6yrs ago & its a true WS6 6-speed car, had 64,000 original miles with full maintaince log on it.

Should have looked around a little more & maybe been wiling to make a drive, could have found a much better deal on a newer model. Those 98's can be unique too, there are a few differences between those & the 99'-02' models. Start your research now.

The car is worth $8900 per NADA. I paid $9900. I NADA'd a WS6 and forgot this was a clone & was going off the WS6 pricing. I did pay too much. I am aware. But, what can I do about it now? Nothing. I can't go back to the dealership and say "Hey, give me $1000 since I paid too much." It's a moot point unless anyone has any idea's? lol...

Yes, that is my g/f reflecting in the window... Here's another shot of her and the car yesterday:

For those recommending Sea Foam, how do you recommend doing it? Every vehicle and bike I've run it on has always been different. Most of the time I put it in the fuel tank, crank, and a vacuum line, but this varies.

I'm not a fan of putting it in the crank case but definitely in the tank and through the brake booster. Try to use the hose to sip it rather than pouring it or just letting the vacuum just drink it.

My recommendation:

Leave it sitting at the parts store collecting dust.

How come Lemons? What's your reasoning for not liking it? Not going to flame you or anything just curious about your reasoning.

From my research it seems like warm/hot water provides better results than SeaFoam or similar products.... Yes.. water.

I've done both and both work well for me. I usually just throw SF out there because when you tell people to use hot water, they think you're out of your mind.

Too many negative results from it as well as proof to it not being able to do what it says.

I'm on my phone or I would give you links. Just do a simple 5 min search around here and plenty will pop up.
