LS1's serving their country
This is a pic of some some LS1 Camaros serving their country. The plane is landing and the Camaros are pilots who radio to the pilot helping him land smoothly. It is hard for them to judge the wings during landing. Anway, It is an awesome pic. Nm the file is too big. I can't figure out how to post it.

Is this what your talking about? If so, it is on the af.mil site. Sorry for the small image, but I guess the military is cutting back on their bandwidth... use to be able to get full size on any image

NM, figured out how to pull up a full size image from the AF's photo site. Just need to take the image name and enter it at the end of the following url. http://www.af.mil/media/photodb/photos/ , as there is no direct link to the full-size image. the actual image name begins with a number, disregard the "web_" which was added to the photo name.
Here is the link to the full size image:

I'm pretty sure the Z28's in those pictures are LT1's seeing those pics are from PSAB in Saudi Arabia. Use to see those cars all the time while I was there. During a recent trip to Korea, I saw that they had upgraded to LS1's for their chase cars. Wonder wha they'll be using in a few years.

Had a friend that used to drive those. He said they got to top the heck out of them all the time and they do use LS1's in Korea now. One of my father's Chaplains rode along with one of them in Saudi (timid lad) said that he thought they were going to come off the tarmac, LOL.
They are Z28's but I think they are ordered like the B4C's through special ordering, I think, might be wrong.

good ole' psab. I've got some not so fond memories of that place. I did get to enjoy that ride. (incentive ride in the chase car) they used LT1 cars (b4c, saw the code) when I was there. late 98 early 99. I was there for the last of the tent city. I also got to enjoy off roading in a humvee on TCN duty. good stuff

I was there right before it closed this past summer. We just stopped in for a week before going elsewhere. Was a friggen ghost town. Went there in 98 when they still had tent city, and again in 2000 in the complex they built, which was pretty damn nice. Done my share of off-roading in the Humvee's, surprised I didn't kill any of em with some of **** I did, hahaha. Also bit a hole in my lip out in Alpha land riding a 4-wheeler. Going wide open across the dessert is NOT a good idea. And the best part, this was our check ride for our ATV certification. Believe it or not, I still got certified.
Buddy of mine actually got to drive one of those Camaro's out at the Mike Hanager (U-2 hangar). He was a car nut and got to talking to one of the pilots about the Z's. One thing led to another and the guy agreed to let him take the Z for a spin if he let him drive a Humvee.
