Lets see got the car running that day and I threw a base tune on it, low safe timing just made sure to dial in AFR, and was beating on it within a few hours for the rest of the night.

That was a sweet 40 punch he was 2 deep i was 3 deep.
Also a g8 with sunroof and 19's weighs around 4100 without driver.

excuses, excuses.. don't sully the fact that it was a good race with more excuses.. Your car runs good, nuff said. With a cam and pulley you will undoubtedly beat me on motor.. Alot of things are changing this winter.

We will see what happens from a dig this week.

I know about the weight difference but with the LS3 + 8.5psi, I would think it would have beat the H/C camaro.

I would expect someone who owns a V AND a fox coupe to understand but I guess not. Let me know when you get the coupe running and have actual real life experience.

600lbs difference is like comparing a C5z06 with h/c/i vs a pullied steig cobra. a very close race!!!
Whoever said weight doesnt matter from a rolling start must obviously have failed physics class! Look up an acceleration calculator! You must know the MASS of the object!

EXACTLY..

For example lets use a C6Z.. modded let's say its making 550HP at the wheels... For a cobra can even make it close race has to make around 650...

with ur tune all fixed u could make 520+ or - whp which would put u near that 100hp to help cancel out the weight difference like u said. would be interested in seeing new vids after that

Yea max timing on the top end i have is 14* thats all im going to be able to get from 5k on up. I can prob squeeze some timing out of the car below that area which i know is very important and can make some more power.
Yea the above car and i did a 20 punch that same night and he put maybe a 1/2 on me with me banging the limter on the 1-2 and closing the damn TB and losing some good boost lol.

Its also flowing 65+lb/hr on the maf around 7.5 lbs or boost which should be in the 520-550 area.

ya i could see u in that power area no doubt. A 20 roll would prolly also give u the better shot of winning (pending u dont spin horribly if u get good tires), i know atleast for my stall it hits no where near as hard 40+ as it does from a dig or 20.

Shane's G8 is going to be a beast by the time it is dialed in.
