What is there to be embarrassed about??? He had a Full SIZE FAMILY sedan running with a h/c full bolt-on 4th gen camaro! Heaven forbid the 4000+lb G8 stay close!?!? If i was the camaro owner id be hoping the G8 didnt spend a few hours in the garage performing a cam/pulley swap.

Would of thought the g8 would of pulled the camaro a little. How much power are both cars making?

There's one on youtube with d1, lts, stock catback, and tune on 7.5psi (stock pulley) made 513whp so I just don't see why it didn't pull the camaro unless the camaro makes really strong h/c numbers.

I know one dyno doesn't mean they all should make it

Both are on a local board, G8 just finished up the build earlier that day so no dyno numbers and I saw it mentioned somewhere that the Camaro made 444.

I'm sure they'll both chime back in to speak for themselves.

3400 pound car with 6sp VS 4200 pound car with an auto should explain everything! Makes sense to me!

Edit - According to MotorTrend, the G8 GT weighs 4096

g8 gt's are 3995, so ya its 600lbs + or - depending on weights of drivers/gas levels etc., but it stll has roughly 80hp/60-80tq more

Hrmmmmm yep..

I guess the thread starter forgot to leave out a few details lol...
(excuses)
Lets see got the car running that day and I threw a base tune on it, low safe timing just made sure to dial in AFR, and was beating on it within a few hours for the rest of the night.

That was a sweet 40 punch he was 2 deep i was 3 deep.
Also a g8 with sunroof and 19's weighs around 4100 without driver.
