The jury is still out on whether or not the GTR's transmission can handle that power. The GTR engine & trans are built in matched sets & each trans is unique to its' engine. We will see how long that level of power lasts. Don't get me wrong, the GTR is engineering excellence. It just hasn't been around long enough to have seen the effects of high HP mods.

My buddies' Ultima GTR is making 1000 ish at the crank and it has traction issues at 135+mph.
IMO roll racing at the 1000 hp level needs AWD or somebody will be a statistic in due time.

That's my Z06 and my uncles GTR in the vid... The GTR has close to $90k in performance mods alone, around $180k all together with the car and it's visual mods. My Z06 has $20k with wheels, tires, supercharger, meth etc and $70k all together with price of car. I think I did rather well for a 150+whp deficit and much less $ in it.
It is what it is though. I love my car and I was considering buying his from him so I wanted to see how much faster it was than mine. Hence this video.

I second your thoughts.
Most anybody on here would give a testi to own your car (me included)...
The Nissan is very everything.... But it ultimately suffers the same fate as the Corvette albeit at a higher threshold.... Neither will be worth anywhere near the funds invested...but a Ferrari...... well.... $200k could scrape up a decent one but it'd be a backmarker to your car... and the N.
Props for an awesome vid and down to earth "it is what it is" attitude.
hmmmmm..... If my Evo only had 500 more whp I'd kick your and the N 's asses.... And if I had a Million bucks I'd be a millionaire!!!!!
Reality. Mid 11 second et's. lol

The clutch was only meant to hold up to 700#'s of tq which was what it was at during it's last setup. After the built motor and fuel system it has started to slip. Now it's going back in to do a built trans and beefier clutch that can hold 1000#'s of TQ. GTR tax is quite hefty. The built trans is about $18k and it's not even an all out build. All out is around $40k!!
Feel free to ask anymore questions. Here is a link to the car mods/info:

The only thing the GTR currently has is a upgraded clutch... It has held up just fine with us beating the living poop out of it.

Yah, the trans was my main concern. Sounds like the stock trans is good to 700 Ft-#'s torque of which is similar to a Viper spec T-56, 650 Ft.-#'s ish. Granted that the GTR sends it to 4 points as compared to 2. Thanks for the reply. Please post again & let us know how the next round of mods holds up.
