1st N/A 2011 Mustang GT in the 9's
#24
Its kinda sad that it only makes 430rwt compared to the 550rwhp. Oh wait maybe its the little 318ci pony ford motor. Btw its barley in the 9's, pretty much a 10.0. Car sounds sick though cause it revs to the moon.

Fully built race engine probally on race gas. In order to have more cubes they would need a taller deck 5.4 block. It's a quick car no doubt but a good bolt-on ls7 will give it a run for it's money and out trap it if you take a look at the records.

Playing Captain Obvious here...most people would take a Vette over a Mustang.
Yes, a bolt on 427 LS7 should give a built 318 Coyote engine fits.
Hio; with as much as you and Ohio have discussed on the Coyote engines...I would of thought that you would know that they can be made bigger than 318 c.i without having to go to a 5.4 block.

It really surprises me how ignorant people in these threads are. Seems like GM owners say everything Ford makes is junk just because they own a GM. Give credit where credit is due. Quit making yourselves look like dumbasses. The new Mustang 5.0 is an awesome car with a BADASS motor. The new mustang is worlds ahead of the new camaro in any performance aspect. Thats FACT.
I like the people who say "blah blah z06 ls7 would beat it" etc.. NO ****. Go look at a base MSRP for a z06 and then go to the Ford dealer and look at a Mustang. You're comparing apples to oranges.
If the mustang was such a junk car, how is it that they have been in production for 47 years straight?
Better yet, you guys are right. The new Mustang 5.0 is junk. Don't buy them. That way, I can have less competition.
And for the jackasses that are going to call me a Ford nutswinger, here are the two vehicles that I currently own:

yeah the 9.33 was on a 388ci LSx N/A. the 9.98 was on a BONE STOCK bottom end 5.7L LS6 w/ Trickflow 215 heads and a cam in full street trim w/ 4.10's!
Someone said something about a Corvette being more preferred over the mustang. I was just pointing out the power of the LSx platform and how proven it has been. These motors are tried and true, so for me to be impressed with a **** ton of cash dumped into a stripped down race trim mod motor mustang running HIGH 9's N/A isnt much of a feat with the technology we have these days.
Seriously LS guys have been doing this since 07/08. It is 2011 now!! Welcome to the game 4 years late ford!
For those looking for a C5 vette you can get a damn nice one for around $24K now-a-days.
HEATER: pay attention to the video that is a C5 vette. Not a C6Z. It IS NOT A 427 LS7. Just a well put together LS6. TrikeMike I'll take your LS motor off your hands so you can afford to mod you 5.0 Mod Motor to get to the 10's.

Either way ive always wanted my next ride to be a C6Z, but if youre telling me I can go buy a beat up C5 for maybe 10k, fix it up, throw in a well set up stroker and go run mid 9's NA ill say screw the C6Z!! lol
