Threads like these are entertaining and that's all.
1. No matter who the driver is, your 1st race will never be your best.
2. It's like any one who is an athlete to become a better athlete you need to practice.
3.Some people learn at different rates it may take days or months or years to become the best.
4. It's like watching a child walk or ride a bike for the first time, you just dont stand up and perfect it.
5. Let's give these cars time to get in the hands of people who can practice to get a better time. In the end if the ford is faster then great congrats ford or if chevy is then congrats to them.
6. Threads like these are like young boys who argue who's dad can beat the other dad up.
7. There is always a guy with a car somewhere out there who is faster then you, we maybe arguing about 2 cars at their best that are both 11 second cars but there are always those cars that can run 10,9,8 seconds in the quater that will beat the mustang and camaro so after all the arguing we are all losers.
8. track times dont lie and dynos dont lie but then you get people who lie.

put me behind the wheel and it'll be in the 11's by the third pass.....if it's capable of them...and i think it probably is.
that said, someone said about the first runs of any driver being slower. this is true. a friend has a 2012 mustang convt. with a 6 speed, 2.78(i think) read. his first pass was a 15.20. his best to date is a 14.17 at 101mph. that's bone stock, with nothing removed, nothing changed. pretty respectable for a heavy convertible driven by a guy that's never drag raced before a couple months ago. that car has 13.9's in it before he touches anything.

I think the car does have great suspension because if he launch like that in another car with 580hp on a stock street tire would have send him probably spinning into a wall with not having driving Or "racing" experience but he manage to keep it straight. Just sayin lol

imo, whats a girl gonna care about words between HEMI and LS3. She's gonna care who wins and well if its a Hemi goin up agaisnt a corvette well the corvette will win therefor LS3 is better. beisdes the 5.0 isnt new they just brought it back to production. And there is always gonna be someone faster..JS

possibly.....but most things you can do to a brand new car today will void many warranties. are you willing to risk cooking your engine with a poor tune, and then finding out it's not covered?

Was we racing a stick or auto zl1? Im guessing that was a standard which i can understand being a newb at drag racing. How the **** could anyone be that bad driving an auto unless the car had issues of its own. No shifting required. U rev it up and go.
