second video the viper hooked up (1.79)60ft while the Z06 spun (2.2) 60ft. So not a good example IMO. If z06 driver would have hooked it would have been very even with the viper maybe just pulling a car or so up top. Should we compare price tags and fuel mileage as well lol?

.......Z06 vs Srt-10
Price- 74k vs 96k
Mpg- 15/24 vs 13/22

20k less for a car that is just as badass with a better supply of tunning and parts for it AND handles better.

C'mon now...Anyone with the money can spend WAY OVER 74k on a new C6ZO6... like, over 115k. Base price for a new ZO6 is $75,600, not 74. Base price for the last Viper was $92,885 and that was up more than 3,000 from the 2009... probably due to ending the run(for awhile). The Viper would run 200mph... Exclusivity counts. I'm sure the Viper could cost over 115k too, but it probably wouldn't be the SRT-10.

Okay, so explain the first video. I didn't see a very even race, and in case you missed the description:

Bone stock 2008 Viper with 1200 miles on the ODO vs. a 2007 Z06 Corvette with Hurst shifter, mild-2-wild exhaust switch, LG Headers and tune, making 487 whp.

The ZO6 was modded, Viper was not. Granted, the Viper should have an advantage since it leaves the factory with an additional 95HP.

And really? We're going to bring up gas mileage? I would certainly hope a 7.0L V8 in a lighter car would get better gas mileage than an 8.4L V10.

I'm actually alot more impressed with the viper than I used to be before seing this. I did not know they were that fast. Still a pretty big price difference and I like the Z06 alot more. Especially when I know I could actually buy one one of these days.

But the Vipers (96-99) have the stoutness to them that Corvettes have never had. I don't think even the ZR1s engine can take the beating the old forged Vipers could. And in today's world, who really leaves their car stock? I'm currently looking for a GTS (96/97 blue/white) to replace my car with, the badass-ness of them for the price is hard to beat. Who cares if a C6Z06 beats them in every way performance wise stock, the Viper IMO beats the Z06 by a mile in the looks department. Then there's also the fact that I see 100+ C6s to every Viper, and I mean every year/style Viper. AND there's the fact that you can push 800whp out of a 96-99 GTS without touching the motor on pump gas!
