We all know "Those" guys... Everyone knows at least one of "those" guys, who claims to have a 500, 600, 700, 1200, etc... horsepower car. Or maybe not rated by horsepower but a "10 second" car because they have never dyno'd the car. Well lets see those videos, or pictures of their "1200 hp" stock Cobalt SS, or "9 Second" VTEC civic.
These people make me lose hope in the local car community, however, they also give me a good chuckle. And right about now, I want to have a good laugh, so lets see those rediculous videos of a stock "2000 hp" Jetta calling out a H/C/I LS1 for example.

lol ,funny thing is a kid came up to me the other day and was telling me about his buds 1400 hp cobalt ss , i said really , he said yeah that thing is so fast, i asked if he could set up a run, all he could say well he is having the bottom end built now, i said really he was making all that hp on a stock bottom end? i think he knew real quick that i could smell bs , he looked at his phone and said oh crap im late i got to run, i told him goodbye and thanks for the story lo

Lol, I know 2 mustang owners, one has a totally stock 08 GT that can beat gt500's by half a car, his words not mine, and the other has a 98 with a "150" shot on a " rebuilt" motor. I asked him why it needed rebuilt, turns out he bent a rod on his ohc engine, lol

The day my co worker brought this in to work this was "atleast an 11 sec car". I bet him it was no faster then 13.0 on slicks of 13.5 on street tires. 13.7 was his best run on street tires. Not close to 11s!

Problem is I can't make too much fun of him or he crys like a little bitch.
Here is an older video of the same mustang loving fool. Don't think he made any claims of the 1/4 time with this car but said it was MUCH faster then my stalled, tuned truck.

He didn't have a clean run but lost the race and certainly wouldn't have been much faster had he dead hooked.
I have two other guys who used to have the worlds fastes talons. The only pic I have ever seen was with no engine in the car and sure they didn't run for **** regardless of how many *** woopings they layed down at our local street races with no evidence. I didn't have the fastes **** in the past by why be a liar or un realistic with your claims? There is enough data out on most any set up to know a damn good idea what it will run before taking it to the track!

Sorry I'm new here, but you have the best avatar I've ever seen 
On topic though, I have a friend who drives a 99 cobra that fits the description well. All it has done is a cai and x pipe. The stuff he claims to beat are outrageous. He won't race my car but says his "feels just as fast" as mine
He told me and some friends at a party that in his old rx8(bone stock) he raced a turbo 6.0 gto up to 190mph neck n neck, Lol. All my friends own/work on cars and realize how stupid he sounds, but he swears on his life it happened. Needless to say I don't hang with this guy very much, but he's fun when were drinking and bullshittin about cars.. Always a new story lol. I have pics of it, all he's done to the body is a sticker or 2 though
