cool vids.looks like blades had the VR4 from speed,but just couldnt hang with the AWD launches(obviously).reeled him in pretty good though into 3rd gear.also looks like the DSM had a bit of a fuel problem,or something that would cause that huge plume of black smoke just before the race ended.its a DSM,so i imagine its broken(i used to own a 91 TSi so i can say that ).
looked like he gave the mirage a jump in the first race,and never could regain.second video though looked like a damn close race.
whats blades running anyways?has he shared any track times?

 

yea, he didn't get beat by the 1st car, he was gonna win if they had held out about 2 more secs, that other little ***** quick though

 

Looked like a butt whoopin to me. Didn't sound like he launched high enough but I assume that was to keep traction.

If you just figure on Blades being a 12 second car, it looks like he would have lost a 1/4 mile race by 3 or so car lengths. AWD...grip and go!

Man what I'd give for an '06, '07 Z or TA with AWD, V8, and FI.

 

I'd take RWD any day over AWD for drag racing.

 

no...what he did was missed shift and the black smoke was caused from hitting the rev limiter. ECU dumped a **** load of fuel to insure that the motor won't go up when accidents like that occur.

As far as times go....Blades hasn't run any tracks that I am at all aware of.
However, he openly admits to needing driving lessons. But the VR4 is good for low to mid 12s on pump gas. He does run a "race" fuel higher psi set up, which I am guessing will be used in the up coming rematch.

imagine he didn't luanch hard to sve his half shafts. If they start hopping they are prone to snap, thats why you rarely see vids of 03 from a dig.

My bone stock cobra runs mid 12s@113 and he has all the boltons so I would have to think he should be a high 11 second car. I give props to that little VR4 because no matter what. A win is a win.

Some how I think that the cobra will be back with some tires next time because he might be

 

Someone should teach that kid in the '03 Cobra how to drive. Nothing like getting your as whipped and having it on video.

I should have said, "It's probably SAFE to say" his car is at least a 12 second car. Don't know what mods he's got and didn't feel like searching but I was sure he could hit a 12.xx 1/4 mile.

Needless to say, a loss is a loss. The only way to redeem yourself is to race again and win. Then you can make excuses for the bad run.

 

Blades only time at the track was a 12.4 when he was close to 500 rwhp hahah

 

He also did this when the temperature was in the 30s, and no one was getting any traction.

 

damn poeple make just as many excuses as he does cause I know alot of poeple that were there that day and 280 rwhp mustangs doing 12.3's ahahhaha

 

****. I just lost everything I was typing.. I'm not going to even try to retype it.. Let me summarize it:

DRs have 13k miles on them and are more than a year and a half old. My broke *** is *saving up* for SFC and new DRs. I spin thru 2 gears at night time, no matter how I launch the ******* car. Instead of saying nice try, good luck next time, you'd rather berate me. Its odd, I get called out so many times, people rooting for me to lose, break something, or even worse. I got called up at 12:30AM (watching a movie with my gf) and I had to leave or else i'd be "biggest ***** ever". I am ******* tired of this bullshit. FWD cars wanna race from a roll, because its only fair. AWD cars want to race from a stop, because a real race is from a dig. RWD cars want to use slicks on the street, becuase its run what ya brung.

Also. the mods on that mirage are COMPLETELY WRONG. Its a t3/t4 turbo (60-1 trim i think) running on race gas. It weighs around 2200-2300lbs with a estimated whp of mid-high 300s.. They thought it would annhilate me. This was the car I got called out to race.. I was fine with that becuase I knew it'd be from a roll.. I did not want to race the VR4, but he asked nicely and I didn't really care.. When I get my suspension stuff and all that I am sure I'll do better..

So lets see: camaro ss, awd talon, mk3 supra (674RWHP), Gvr4, Yamaha R1, GSXR750.. Thats what I've lost to in the time I've owned the car.. So yeah Blades goes down. Everybody cheer. Maybe next time I'll crash my car and die!!! I'll bet you'll all love that!!

Its so stupid. Its like I have to serve everyone. I am going to the track in a couple months with more suspension mods and new DRs.. If I don't run 11s I'll feel like a complete *******.. I'll probably sell the car. A year and a half ago, would I have felt the same? No. This is why I am beginning to hate the car community. Don't expect anything out of me, don't expect me to accept a challenge to a race, don't expect me to come out of my ******* apartment and race you because you have some kind of E-grudge on me.. None of you know me, stop taking shots at me.
