thats mine, appreciate the compliments. motor is a 5.3L iron block, stock crank, eagle h beams, JE pistons, bored to 347ci. stock 317 heads, 226/230 cam, TC76. still rocking the 6 speed.
that day was the first time out on 14#s, best was 10.39 @ 135.6 on a 1.59 60'. pretty much reached the limit of my rear suspension and have to leave softer than usual. here's a vid of that run
old setup was a stock shorblock, 317 heads, ls6 cam, 10#s, ran a best of 10.43 @ 133. tossed a belt and overheated so i took it apart. shortblock was fine but wanted to upgrade to handle more power.
trying to put it in the 9's, little more rear suspension and boost and it should get there. funny story i actually got kicked off the track in gainesville during that magazine shoot for no safety equipment even though the track was rented out in order to shoot mine and a couple other articles.
