I have no idea. It's pretty sick when you see his feet twitching though.

I only recently got into hockey and enjoyed watching it, but when **** like this happens, it makes me sick. What in the ******* hell makes people think that someone who attacks another person while playing a sport should be tried any differently than some ******* mugger walking down the street. It seems to me the vast majority of professional athletes out there today are ******* ********. PUT THAT ******* GUY IN JAIL

I'm not trying to defend this guy, but in the video it says the guy that got hit missed the other guy with a slash of his stick. The other guy then connected with a swing from his. I think both should be treated equally.

LMAO, I went to an Astros game last night. There was more action in the seats around me than on the field. Seriously, like three fights broke out.

Its kind of hard to make out anything in the video. I don't understand how anyone can sit still long enough without dying of boredom to watch a hockey game though. I'd rather watch a bumper rust in a junkyard than watch a hockey game.

Hockey is B O R I N G ! ! !

Slashing is part of hockey, swinging your stick like a baseball bat is not. You make the call there. So what you are basically saying is that when you get a penelty for slashing you should get criminal charges? Im just curious what you mean. I'm not by any means defending the guy that took the brutal swing.

This would also go back to the incident with Burtuzi and Moore, the sucker punch from behind then Burtuzi landing on Moore breaking his neck. Hockey is violent, yes, but uncalled for outbreaks of pointless retaliation is plainly uncalled for.

-Mike-

Burtuzi Video link it is about half way down.

Hell yeah it should be criminal. Baseball players dont do it and they have ******* bats. If someone swings a bat or hockey stick at me on the street I assume that they aim to kill me. Then I start getting stabby.

You must realize a swing and a miss is slashing. A head shot like that (with convulsions no less) with a stick here in Illinois is attempted murder

The guy that got knocked out, freaking tried to hit the other guy in the head with his stick first, watch it again, he takes a hardcore swing. He deserved what he got imo.
