Back in this thread. Those were some great runs. I ran a 600+ whp new 5.0 and our runs were a similar outcome. We went from a 50-55 ish roll and I started in 3rd. He got the jump and I easily reeled him in. I wonder what gear the 10r started in.

When you know what you're doing on a 600, they can be very very fast from a 40.

Yes it's me. I need some more seat time with it so I can be faster. Most important mod. And it's funny I've seen your name on a fewdifferent forums I frequent all week.

Yup lol,you can tell im getting the itch to ride lurking the forums being that the weather is still cold here. Once you get comfortable on the new bike and get a feel for it you will be killin em lol.
Seems to be a few bike guys here so that's good

Oh yea. I'm excited. This weekend I'm hoping to really test my wits against some very very fast opposition.

The Camaro at the time was putting down about 620 to the wheels shifting at 5500 rpm's due to fuel limitations. Bike I believe is a stock 05 GSXR 600. Enjoy!

I sound so old "back in my day" but seriously most of these guys are squids.. The only guy that sounded like he knew how to shift was running that integra.

Too many people get literbikes and modern crotch rockets for their first bikes and are just scared of them. A good friend of mine wanted to ride with me and another friend so picked up a brand new gixxer 750 for his first bike. He rode it for about 5 months, dropped it twice in that time period (once at a stop sign, once doing a u-turn at 5mph ), and sold it for less then he owed so had to shovel out an extra $1,500 to get the title.

In general I see a lot of panicked short shifting when the real power hits, not going fully WOT, and/or letting off the gas way too much on each shift.

Man,I agree 100% with you lol...and lets be honest, how the **** do you screw up a roll race? Tuck, lock the throttle, hit your shift points and hold on. No skill involved...although it is fun&one of lifes guilty pleasures

Oh you have NO idea lmao....Im an Admin on a huge bike forum and we get squids posting everyday bragging about their new GSXR-1000 and how they will be fine because they rode a RM50 dirt bike when they were 10yrs old. They come in looking for approval and the old timers just rip them to shreds, then get butthurt and never come back....and then we have the spiked fairing bolts, voodoo exhaust,240mm tire, chrome, stretched 10" but never launched a bike crowd that wears the chrome **** helmets and have neons all over the place
Personally,Id much rather ride a slow bike fast, than ride a fast bike slow and be terrified of it.

And that's why I'm here. To continue the bike vs car debate but with decent rider statistics. Not just some random nut job who can afford a bike.

Lol you know how I roll bro...
I did a bunch of runs with my K5 turbo against a 900whp GT-R when I was still SWB,and also some good 60-200 rolls against a 1200whp 996tt on my Gen2. They're on my old laptop,I'll see if I can dig em up. I may have even posted them over on Stickys forum but Im not sure.
I can post some runs of my riding buddys running big turbo Supra's,Vettes, etc if you want??

Yup,it just sucks that nobody wants to run with us anymore. Seems like all anyone wants to do the past few years is hard park their **** in a lot and bench race all night.
But,we both went out&bought new bikes so maybe that will get us some more action since everyone and their mother knew what the 10R&my Busa ran.
Hope to have Go-Pro vids very soon
