Default YouTube Partner Program Terminated under 4k hours / 1k Subs

Got hit with a crappy email from youtube today.

"Camaro Rick,
Today we are announcing changes to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). While our goal remains to keep the YPP open to as many channels as possible, we recognize we need more safeguards in place to protect creator revenue across the YouTube ecosystem.
LEARN MORE
What's Changing
Under the new eligibility requirements announced today, your YouTube channel, Camaro Rick, is no longer eligible for monetization because it doesn’t meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. As a result, your channel will lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the YouTube Partner Program on February 20, 2018 unless you surpass this threshold in the next 30 days. Accordingly, this email serves as 30 days notice that your YouTube Partner Program terms are terminated.
One of YouTube’s core values is to provide anyone the opportunity to earn money from a thriving channel. Creators who haven’t yet reached this new threshold can continue to benefit from our Creator Academy, our Help Center, and all the resources on the Creator Site to grow their channels. Once your channel reaches the new threshold, it will be reviewed to make sure it adheres to our policies and guidelines, and if so, monetization will be re-enabled."

If anyone wants to sub for sub.. I know a lot of you all have small channels also. Im pretty much a lost cause but if you are close to the numbers or just want to hmu

Subbed. You have nice content, I'm shocked that you don't have more views and subs. You need to get some clickbait titles or something.

I'm well over the limits, but I always appreciate new subs.

It been this way for a while, they are just tightening the noose and actually implementing it to existing channels. Honestly though, if youre under that threshold, you arent making any money off youtube anyway so whats it matter.

Its a business and a full time job for some youtubers and they make a damn good living off the ad money, merchandise sales, and free **** they get from sponsors. What a great way to make a living right?

I just started doing Youtube vlog videos last month. ive been gaining traction on views, and just heard of the new policy change where i need 1000 subscribers as well. rough lol.

Any tips on how to improve my reach? 1000 subscribers seems like so much more of a mountain to climb than 10,000 views was.. i made it halfway (5000 views) before the wind was taken out my sail lol

im really only a month in, some of my older videos i have posted were just general content that i used to share.

Living the life. When I was a teenager I used to get the "you cant make a career out of playing video games" Well now a days you can and a hell of a nice one at that lol

"Any tips on how to improve my reach?" post vids that cater to 12 year olds? lol

Not sure I guess they have different add campaigns based on mobile app or something.

Maybe I’ll FINALLY be able to watch a video on YT without seeing an ad before it. Everyone thinks they’re gonna be a superstar on YT because they did a how-to on changing their air filter. Really f’in annoying. I wish the mandatory subscriber base for ad revenue was 10,000.
