Here's the 360 replacement: The F430.
http://www.fast-autos.net/ferrari/ferrarif430.html
Does anyone else agree that each Ferrari redesign is worse than the last? The F355 was killer, then the 360 Modena replaced it and wasn't near as good looking, but still decent, and now the F430 makes the 360 Modena look simply stunning. Hell, the 456GT was a work of art, and now we have the disgusting 612 Scaglietti in place of it. The Enzo, while performance is amazing, is ugly. Function before form, but still, ugly. It had nothing to replace, so I let that one slide.
I swear, if the 575MM replacement goes anywhere near the direction of the 456GT and 360M replacements, I'm gonna be anti-modern Ferrari. These cars are just ****in' horrible to the eyes lately.
No Ferrari comes close to their looks of the late '80's to the mid-'90's: You had the 328, replaced by the 348, replaced by the F355 (all 3 cars looked simply awesome), you had the Testarossa, replaced by the 512TR, replaced by the 512M (again, all 3 cars were incredible), and you had the 288 GTO (1985, amazing), the F40 ('87-'92, a masterpiece), the 456GT which was art on wheels, and the F50 which was love-or-hate but stunning nonetheless.
In '96, the 550 Maranello came out and while it's an awesome car, it definitely should NOT have been the car to REPLACE the Testarossa series: it should have been just a whole new, additional vehilce while they kept the Testarossa series and built upon it.
Anyone else share my feelings about Ferrari these days? Yes they're performance just gets faster and better, but I'm talking about their looks. They're butt ugly!

Well I"m no Ferrari guy, like what you sound to be, but I do like the styling of that one. It kinda looks like a spyder, but with different lines. I REALLY dislike the interior though. I think they should do away with those paddle shifters on the steering column and put back the good ol' stick and clutch. As far as the exterior though...it kinda looks like they are going more towards the lines of what the new Lambo's are doing with the higher rear end and the smoothed out front lines with that ever present euro styling. I personally like it, but I do agree, with my limited knowledge of these cars, that it does not look anything like say the old F355. Now that was a sweet car.

Before, I could NEVER understand how old/elderly guys loved cars from the '50's, '60's, and '70's over anything from our generation. It just boggled my mind. But now I TOTALLY understand how they feel. Us guys love the cars we grow up with, and our love sticks with their designs and for me atleast, each redesign gets harder and harder to accept/grow into. I know that in 40 years, I'll be tellin' the youngin's how awesome our cars from the '80's and '90's are to me and they'll just give me the puzzled look.
Hopefully though, the cars by then aren't still ricemobiles.

man, that 430 is absolutely beautimous!
![Icondrool](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies2/icondrool.gif)
i do agree that the syling of the 360 is a little better, but this one is pretty damn awesome, too. about the only things i wouldn't like about it is the paddle shifters, and the fact that all that seperates the engine compartment from the back of your head is a sheet of glass.....can you say LOUD!?
that said, if i had to choose between my Z28 and that 430.....well.....let's just say i'd have to find a long, secluded straight stretch of road to see if i could get up to the 196MPH top speed.....
and to touch on a point that TransAm52804 brought up about the older vs. newer cars, for the most part, i'm just the opposite. i generally like the newer models' styling better than the older models. for example, in order from least liked to most liked (mainly ones from within my generation):
lambo countach --> diablo --> murcielago
3rd gen f-bod --> 93's - 97's --> 98's - 02's
4th gen vette --> 5th gen --> 6th gen
5.0 mustangs --> 94's - 98's --> 99's - 04's --> 05+
now, i'm not saying that given the chance, i wouln't absolutely LOVE to have some older cars like a 69 camaro, early 70's chevelle, early 70's Olds 4-4-2, '62 - '65 impala, '65 mustang, etc., etc., but each subsequent revision tends to be better than the last generally.
