That kid's face and intensity level would be enough to scare me...heh Wait, what the hell am I talking about.....If you got in there close, you could crush him...hah... Jeez, when he did that move on his knees spinning around and catching the staff he either looked like a frickin' robot or something out of an action cartoon/matrix movie...looked really cool....

It bothers me that all the competition martial artists think they are SO badass because they can twirl a stick around and perform moves that would never work in a fight in a million years. just because you do competition doesnt mean you can fight, real fighting is much different, I know this from experience (dont need to get into it, lets just say I wont pretty easy)
as you said, you rush him, or just cover your head and get in close he will only get one or two good hits in, and as long as its not to the head, hes toast after that, because in the end every fight turns into a wrestling match, and im sure he cant wrestle, specially against a 6ft 250lb guy

Im 6’8” and 300lbs and I could probably kick that kids *** and then eat him. But if it came down to it I would let him win then post the video on the internet for general amusement.

All that kid has is a pouty face and a toothpick.
I've been training in Traditional Okinawan Karate for over 10 years. That video is an excellent example of BAD martial arts. That's either "American Karate" or "American Tae Kwon Do" Either way, it's just a bunch of bullspit.
What you're seeing there is closer to gymnastics or juggling than a martial art.
I'll give the kid props for the twirling skill he has. However, to call that a martial art, that makes me sick.
All of the screaming and angry faces are garbage too. A true martial artist, when faced with combat, does not change his frame of mind. If you have to fight, don't get all mad about it and scream and sh*t, just do what you have to do and move on.
One other note: For a bo, or staff, to be effective, it's got to have some weight to it. A little toothpick twig like that has no inertia so it's not going to hurt when he hits you. A real bo weighs about 4-5 lbs. The comparison is similar to a ping ping ball to a golf ball.
I hope I've shed a little light

Kid vs Kimbo
I would like to see that kid and his stick against Kimbo. That boy and his stick against that silverback would be a pay per view intro fight.
2 to 1 odds on Kimbo.
I got my money on Kimbo. Any other takers.
