Zoom works on the camera. LOL

He may own 2 of them but WTH is "chipping" You mean a tune?

So 600 crank is pretty respectable But, I doubt I would have dropped 95k for it!

From Hot Rod back issue:
But Jim went all the way, coughing an additional $23,995 for the 600hp, 575-lb-ft Phase III 427 race engine, 17/8-inch headers, and electric exhaust cutout (big fun). There's also the Fikse wheel upgrade, the Barker Button, and a six-point rollcage to bring the grand total to $95,255.

Yea total price was 91,xxx on the Berger Sheet.

I almost called him out about the chip thing, but I was trying to bum a ride

Didn't work though so I should have called him on it

did you all hear him say there was a black one with almost nothing more done to it than street slicks that turned 9.55 @ 144mph?!?!?!?!?!? at full weight? there's no way a 3500+ lb. car on street slicks will turn out that kind of E.T. with 600hp. i call a BIG anyone know what he was talking about?

later,
Dave

But, if u think about it, if it's that much now, later on, when that mans pulls it out of his fancy pants million dollar storage facility, and brings it to barret/jackson car auction or plain out sells it where ever in who knows how long i bet that thing will go for a decent 6 figure amount.

but i agree $95,000 could get me a looooong way, i'd have 2 or 3 speedy vehicles out of that.

i think there are 2 stage IV's that may be the black one he is talking about. i think the stage 4's were underrated at 800hp
but even the stage 3 cars were underrated, i think some have dynoed in the 700hp range.

I do not doubt it but maybe it is non-collector in me... 95K for a car I could build/order myself? Especially nowa days. Pick up a 2002 Camaro next to new, order a 427 with C5 block and all the goodies from More Performance upgrade the suspension, rear, braking, and other needs. Cowl hood and a paint job. Done! Probably < 50K if you are stingy about it.

hang on a sec. you're telling me that they have a naturally aspirated 427 making 800 hp or better? come on. i've seen one that made 700hp, for $25,000 no less, that was maxed out and a race only motor. can't remember who made it, but it was C5R, sheet metal intake, big heads fully worked over, etc. etc. and on race fuel. it was in a mag about a year ago or so. nice, but not 800hp. and don't all those Berger cars require the ability to pass emissions? or do they have a line that are race only?

That track time number is exactly the same number that the General Motors hopped up ZL1 ran. He may be referring to that for some reason. And for another reason I can't find a damn picture of it on my computer. The only one I found is this one and it doesn't look like the same one I am referring too. ZL1 Camaro

this cracks me up to no end...you are going to underate a car by 100hp that is a rip off at 95k in the first place...please...if anything they overated it...not to mention harlan is running mid-8's...i garuntee he did not spend $95,000 i bet he spend 1/2-3/4 of that...to get the fastest ls1 in the country...

Ok the thing is it's rarity value. I would pay $95 large for that bad *** Camaro. It is very rare and will only go up in value. For car collectors, money dosen't matter. Rarity does.
