Don't all engine have rods pistons and cams? I would have gone with a roots-style blower if I had the same engine.

Nice observation. Yes all engines have rods pistons and cams, I meant aftermarket. Sorry for not clarifying.

Not a rotary motor. A rotary motor has none of those.

Good luck putting a roots blower under any size cowl you can throw at it, you have no idea how much taller a 5.4 is than a 4.6, plus that blower needs clearance for when the motor torques. The kenne bells are pretty low profile but I think you would have to have a custom hood made. I thought about running a 2v 5.4 when I get my mustang just because the 32v is much more expensive to modify.

That thing is going to screem, what intake is that? A modified truck intake/navigator.

The 5.4 4-valve motor has UPR adaptors to fit an 01 Cobra intake.

I didn't even think of that. Good to know, keep us opdated. Does upr port match it, always good to prevent turbulance.

I like roots-style better. From a purely visual standpoint, I like it better and I like where and how it makes it power. With a lot of centrifugal superchargers, you have to get further up in the RPM's to really make power, whereas the roots-style blower makes power everywhere. No matter what RPM you're at, there's power to be had. Supposedly the torque curve is better as well. I just like that idea.

Ahh...you want a 5.4L DOHC. I have a 5.4L SOHC in my 03 F150 and when compaired to a navigator that weights more it is still slower, I had one pull me like I was standing still from 70 mph to 85 or so. DOHC for me.
