The front end of the earlier second gens are so much better looking than the later ones (80 & 81 maybe other years).

Not as pretty as the others, but it's kind of fast.

Shipping weight for the 1970 Sport Coupe L6 was: 3,058lbs. and the V8 was: 3,172lbs. SW for the 72 SC L6 was: 3,121lbs. and the V8 was: 3,248lbs. (the RS was the same weight). In 1975 the SC L6 jumped to 3,421lbs., the V8 was 3,532lbs, and the Type LT 3,753lbs.

Wow!

Around 3200 for the V8 on the 70-73. That's not much more than my C6..

I've always thought those were some of the best looking Fbodies ever.

My Dad's..

In action!

It was wicked that weekend, the car had 3 1.41 60 ft's (on the rear tires) with the bumper about 4 inches from the ground every time and got the tail panel one run. Next year it should be even faster.

I'll always have a soft spot for early 2nd gens because of my dads car, it was our first race car and really got me into the addiction of drag racing which now has complete control over me.

Nice car. Hey we are working on a 74 that we back halved and put a tilt front on with a 434 and a three stage unjust finished the sheet metal and starting on new wiring. Maybe when it's done we should get these two together for a few runs and photos. Don't see many nice second gens anymore.

I LOVE the 70-73's and the 4th gens. Have one of each, a 70 base coupe - a restro-mod and a 02 Camaro SS 35th Anniv. LE, bone-stock. Like the 69's and 88 IROCs too!
