Default new winter project....

here it is, a 1962 mercury meteor S33 custom sedan, 23500 original miles, 221 replaced with a 68 289, 2spd merc-o-matic transmission.

it runs and drives great, it only needed new tires to pass inspection, I drive it back and forth to work every day, it's awesome! this winter I'm gong to pull all the chrome and get the body ready for paint. there is only one rust spot to fix, the major expense is going to be getting all that chrome redone. I have an edelbrock intake with a holley 600 double pumper ready to go in this weekend, I wonder how long that 2 spd is going to last.

any love out there for old mercs??

p.s., does anyone know how to "hide" bumper bolts? are you supposed to weld them in from the front or backside?

Very unique ride, dude. Cars from that era definitely have a cool "personality"

"once it's done", somehow I think those are words I'll be saying for a LONG time...
