good kill by the Z06, I'm not sure why this is so damn surprising!! The OLD Z06 was putting spankings on half the "pullied" cobras out there (I'm just glad I'm not one of them!!!)

Those new Z06's are BAD! If I had the money, there would definatley be one in my driveway (it's tough to argue otherwise for ANYONE).

First of all the zo6 is badass... Second of all you will see vids of cobras beating them and camaros beating them as well as some kid that put 50k into his civic.. It happens. What the zo6 does is sets a bar that others want to hit... its called being competitive and when one company sets a standard others want to achieve it... And whoever called unit a tool is an Fing idiot... Have you never read a post by the guy? Unit was actually thinking about getting a c6 before and doing a turbo setup on it if I remember correctly. There is always someone faster than you... My formula could leave a new zo6 and I have 18k into it including buying it, but it wont look like one, handle like one, and stop like one... Certainly it wouldn't have the same reliability as a stock motor either. "Rant over"

I got to ride in a C6 Z06 this weekend. Le Mans blue and everything... Man they freakin' haul *****... Loved the ride.

The owner told me he's hit the 7k limter a few times in it because they keep pullin' so damn hard and oesn't feel like it's that close to redline.

03 Cobra's are bad *** cars. Z06's are bad *** cars. Just so happen that the Z06 won this time, won't happen everytime. Leave it at that.......

For what it's worth.. I think that the new z06 motor.. shoved in 69 camaro, equipped properly for an accurate comparison ( 6 speed ) vs the 03 motor, shoved into a 69 mustang, also equipped with the 6 speed, both with the same rear gear, etc.etc would be a more accurate comparison.... it would take the aero issues out of the picture, and both cars would be similar in soze, weight, suspension capability... etc.

Swap drivers after a couple runs, see if the results change.... it would make for a more apples to apples comparison.

Another thought... will GM ever come out with a 5th gen f body car... and will that z06 motor, make it into it, or the gto for that matter ?? That would make for a better comparison I think.

C6 Z06 is only being made for a couple of years? If that's true, i doubt the f-body or GTO will get an LS7. What I find funny is how once something gets beat the negative aspects of the car come out. Whether it gets stomped on or not the 03/04 Cobra is one of the best bang for the buck platforms out there. How many other cars see huge hp gains from such idiotic mods as a programmer and air filter. The only thing I'm going to enjoy watching more than this video is watching a C6 Z06 do the same exact thing to a new Shelby GT500 (which was made to compete with the new Z06 )

...and to the real tools who jump on unit213's ***. He didn't say **** to deserve it. He gave props where props were do. And just because he said the power of that Cobra was lower don't think he was making excuses, it shows you how unfair of a race that was.
Imagine my 427 SS against....uh lets say TransAm52804's car before he sold it, hell even my daily driver T/A vs his. It's not a fair match up, it's like beating up a retarded kid with a bag over his head. You get it? I hope?

I myself would like to see a C6 ZO6 against an 03-04 Kenne Bell Cobra on some gas. Or a turbo Cobra, something along those lines.

Actually it would be a fair matchup against your DD T/A: my car put down 342 RWHP and 351 lb-ft of torque.

It wouldn't be that close, my T/A put 360 to the ground with the Borla closed by accident (I was not there...doh!). So, it might be around 370rwhp with the Borla open.

I'd have to say a few of you so called LS1 guys are making total *** hats out of your selves.. I also agree with every word Crager and Unit have said.

FACTS!

1,You will see Cobras, Hondas, tricicles, boats, trains, and LS1's beating up on new Z06's.

2, The LS7 is not a fully built motor have fun adding a blower to it..

3, Cragers DD would walk that carless dudes old whatever he used to have dirty...

4, That dudes cobra was a turd for what he has done..

5, Old Z06's should'nt beat modded Cobras I would know..

None of the above takes away from the fact that a new ZOh is nothing to shake a stick at and you wont be seeing me trying to race one anytime soon.
