The GT is a sweet car, but still a Ford, hardly daily drivable, 8 mpg (Top Gear ran out of gas at the track LOL) and uncomfortable as ****, and no sotrage for even a cell phone. Not to mention **** for fit and finish. Have read of many leaky ones.
However, the one local to me is now making 723/713TQ at the wheels. Headers, pulley, and tuning (LOT of tuning)

Lots of guys ramble on about **** they don't know about and expect
people to treat their word as gold. I believe about 1% of the stuff I read
on the internet.
How does one require a LOT of tuning? A few pulls and voial...it's tuned.

Race one? This guy is scared to race anyone who isn't a 14sec car, and the rest of the GT owners are straight up sissies near me. I don't usually race cars that can kill me LOL
It was a GOOD bit of tuning and NUMEROUS pulls. The headers look like a ******* nightmare, and according to the installer, they were.
Now with all that said, I'd still like to see it do some serious highway racing (80-200+) but SEVERAL local guys have called him out to do just that, and NOTHING!

I saw on one of the 1st pages were someone said it would take a fairly modified C6 Z06 to hang with a gt. "From Motor Trend Magazine December 2005"
2006 Z06... 0-60(3.8) 0-100(7.6) 45-65(1.5) 1/4(11.6@126.6) Lat Accel(1.01g) 1.6mile road course(75.4sec) $68,700
2006 GT... 0-60(3.4) 0-100(7.5) 45-65(1.4) 1/4(11.5@128.7) Lat Accel(0.96g) 1.6mile road course(79.6sec) $166,195
Hmmmm...

****, for the price of the GT you could build an entire f-body to run 8's and have a lot of money left over. But, you would still be driving an f-body.....the whole idea behind the GT is not how fast it goes down the 1320, it's a supercar that's built for road racing, but is still pretty impressive on the drag strip. I like the car, the only part I don't like is the front. Those 2 big holes in the front just look like hell. The rest of the car is badass, if you haven't yet, take a peek under the GT......badass!!

I may not know ****, but that GT in the videos looks like a badass ride. I love the way the speedo just climbs so easy when the camera takes a quick shot of it. Looks like it goes from 140 to 160 in about 3 seconds... One awesome car... The only draw back is the price and the ******* dealers making sure to screw everyone on it, just like the chevy dealers with the new Z06. I'm not a ford guy but it looks like one hell of a car. Great vids... Keep them coming!
