Anyways, just to let you guys know. To do one of those 50 to 180 mph bombs with that GT vs TRMN8R's car. GT would put it on him, although it will be a close *** race hands down.

well i saw alot of dumb **** said in this thread. like the "if the LS1 had 21lbs" or "if i had that much money to mod... blah blah blah". those are ignorant statements.


it breaks down as this... the GT outclasses the new z06. they both have TWO TOTALLY diff motors built for diff purposes.

i could go on, and i will later, but im currently writing a paper about street racing as a culture for one of my classes. When im done, i will continue all of my thoughts

Everybody makes a big deal about how you have a 200 shot on a stock LS1.. We've had one on my brothers car forever... Hell Chris E, guy that built most of my race car, has a 175 shot on his car that makes 660 rwhp / 780rwtq (A little tire spin, on Et-streets I'll leave it like that). This on a stock block, pistons, rods, etc.. motor. My brothers is the same way, but its a dry kit with no pill. Btw Chris's car spraying from 2nd and up (stock 10bolt with 3.42s) went 136mph in the 1/4.. Trying for close to a 140 next time...

Zac has had a LS1 (actually a LS6.. *cough* z06 *cough*) also that ****** hauled ***... He now has a Cobra and for less money he's going faster then he could with a LS1.. Its fkn simple. Pulley, intake, cat-back, tune... 11s all day long. They are not that hard to go wrong with. A ls1 you can make some mistakes and not go anywhere with it.. Hell for example I could give you EVERY piece of my car, part wise and you build it in the same matter as me, did everything in the garage, minus a few things Direct Port was bent by Nick K., Powerglide was originally installed by Mike, Paul, Nick over at Icon, and 12-bolt was put in the car at MTI years (YEARS ago, although went I put the last gear in only thing Mike did was make sure everything was right (Clearance wise) before I put it back in). Every other thing was done in the garage and went 8.9's on its first pass... I guarntee you that you and about 75% if not more could never duplicate it. Its nothing magical either. Your standard 408" motor with Lunati rods/crank, Wiseco Pistons (11.0:1 compression), LS6 Heads (MTI Stage 3s from 2002, 330cfm at 700" of lift), Solid Roller Cam, LSx Intake with a NX Fogger (300 shot), a Progressive (150 ramping to 300 out of the hole), powerglide, 12-bolt, and 3100lbs...

Point is.. STFU.. Drive through!

Here is video driving my little brothers car against a Supercharged H/C Ls1 (on the board) and a 427 SS. This is when my brothers car only made 550rwhp. He had got a ticket the night before so I did the driving (He goes by lil Powell, hince why I have big Powell).

man i was going to ask cause yall are the masters, on lauching my m6 tips to help beat this turbo(nig rigged himself) eclipse "that will smoke me" he says, i know you all have high horsepower cars i could not touch so i wanted to ask. i only got a small 212/218 cam, rebuilt to a 355, ported my heads, rebuilt 10 bolt and some new cheap sumitomo HTR Z 315/35's is about it.

The tires are what's really holding you back. I'd say grab a set of 315 Nitto DR's, or if you are hardcore and don't drive the car all the time some Micky Thomson DR's.

Either one of those I'm sure even TRM will agree will help you immensely..
