Stock Ford GT runs 12.2 and weighs 3489 lbs.I think that GT's on some serious juice.

Stop reading magazines. I've seen many run anywhere from 11.50 to
11.80 at 125 to 128mph bone stock.

Everybody makes a big deal about how you have a 200 shot on a stock LS1.. We've had one on my brothers car forever... Hell Chris E, guy that built most of my race car, has a 175 shot on his car that makes 660 rwhp / 780rwtq (A little tire spin, on Et-streets I'll leave it like that). This on a stock block, pistons, rods, etc.. motor. My brothers is the same way, but its a dry kit with no pill. Btw Chris's car spraying from 2nd and up (stock 10bolt with 3.42s) went 136mph in the 1/4.. Trying for close to a 140 next time...

Zac has had a LS1 (actually a LS6.. *cough* z06 *cough*) also that ****** hauled ***... He now has a Cobra and for less money he's going faster then he could with a LS1.. Its fkn simple. Pulley, intake, cat-back, tune... 11s all day long. They are not that hard to go wrong with. A ls1 you can make some mistakes and not go anywhere with it.. Hell for example I could give you EVERY piece of my car, part wise and you build it in the same matter as me, did everything in the garage, minus a few things Direct Port was bent by Nick K., Powerglide was originally installed by Mike, Paul, Nick over at Icon, and 12-bolt was put in the car at MTI years (YEARS ago, although went I put the last gear in only thing Mike did was make sure everything was right (Clearance wise) before I put it back in). Every other thing was done in the garage and went 8.9's on its first pass... I guarntee you that you and about 75% if not more could never duplicate it. Its nothing magical either. Your standard 408" motor with Lunati rods/crank, Wiseco Pistons (11.0:1 compression), LS6 Heads (MTI Stage 3s from 2002, 330cfm at 700" of lift), Solid Roller Cam, LSx Intake with a NX Fogger (300 shot), a Progressive (150 ramping to 300 out of the hole), powerglide, 12-bolt, and 3100lbs...

Point is.. STFU.. Drive through!

About the "toolbag" comment........dude it's been used already in this thread. If you want to make clever, funny comments about someone, you need to come up with something original.......douche. Or wait, should I bow down to you and your eleventybillion post count?

So, now I understand why you'RE really mad at me, it's because of what "everybody" says about my car. Why do you give a **** about what other people say about my car?

Reading what you wrote about _Zac's cars, and your car just made my brain hurt, maybe you should pm _Zac and take him up on his offer on reading, spelling and grammar comprehension classes. And if you really want, here's a little something for you for making your racecar run in the 8's....

This is what I don't get kids..

It's common for you NM boys to do a cam without upgrading any of the valve train? Or does all that come with your $200 cam?

My point has been proven time and time again. You can't put a cam in a car without backing it up with the right parts.

Retainers
Pushrods
springs

These things cost money. Money I'm sure some of you big ballers saved by getting those 10,000 cars (as TRMIN8R says), but none the less all of you still insist a cam'd LS1 consists of just that, a cam..

well, i paid 9,000 for my car.
came with full bolt-on's(minus pulley and ported throttle body).
i paid full retail for my cam and install kit, not to sound like a homo, but i wanted to kinda "give" texas-speed some money. i think they do a great job.
I could have just as easily picked up a slightly used bumpstick for a LOT cheaper. It ended up being around the $900 dollar mark, everything being said and done. I also picked up an NX universal EFI kit for about $300, all I really need is a fuel pump and a tune. I figure anywhere from $150-$250 for the pump, the tune will be done by a friend of mine (silver_hawk02T/A, IIRC) . Where does that put me? around the 600 S.A.E. whp mark? benchracing at it's finest.

Oh, and I'm not a big baller being 17 has it's downfalls

How many miles are on this car that you plan on spraying a 200+ shot?

Off the subject of $$$, can anybody tell my why the GT "only" made 625rwhp on 21 psi? Don’t get me wrong, that is still great power and I love GT’s yada yada yada, but aren’t KB Corba’s with the same amount of boost putting down similar/higher numbers with the 4.6? I would just think that a 5.4>4.6 so it seems a little odd to me. And I know the GT was on the stock blower but isn’t it almost exactly the same as a whipple? I must be missing something here so someone please educate me!
