Wow that sucks. Most of the small things I do myself. The rest I take to a friend who owns a shop, hopefully he isn't screwing me over either. Next time I take it in for service I'll have to sit infront of it to make sure they are doing to work.

*** that ... i hate taking my ride to people i dont know or shops most of the time i do it myself or if its kinda a hard thing to do ill take it to one of my buddies that know's how

Jiffy Lube at Jax beach tried some **** like that on me...I brought my own oil and filter in,and they said they had to charge me full price as if I used thiers, like $70+. I could not understand why it would cost that much to drain MY old out and pour MY new in, and they said "because it's synthetic"!!

haha, i heard about that, i think. Im a asst. manager at a Jiffy Lube for about a year and a half now due to a transfer . first off, we dont even service fuel filters that are in the ******* gas tanks, lol. pretty much the only reason why i work there is for a decent pay (10.50) and I have access to a lift when ever I want. I do most of my own **** there. Now I would never bring in my ride to ANY lube place for specific reasons if i didn’t work at one cause I know how some shops run like that and try to **** people over and I hate that. I dont like to rip people off but in this business, there is so much of that **** goin on. I dont want anyone working with me that doesn't know how to do ****, let alone think they can rip people off on services

I got ripped at Jiffy Lube back before I learned how to do all of this work myself. I wrote corporate a nasty letter and they refunded my $ and gave me two complimentary oil changes. I never used them, though.

thats why I stand out in the shop looking at them do the work the whole time and the only thing that I have a shop do anyways is the occasional oil change because they have the pit (car's lowered wont fit on a lift)

Whats funny is I am wanting to flush my tranny later this year hahaha, buddy of mine works for an independent shop, its the only one I trust to do work with out me watching.
I have heard bad things about Jiffy lube a long time ago, from a former employee that I went to school with....

hahah that **** is pretty funny . .i work at the ez lube down the street from the jiffy lube they caught .. we got hit the same day but we did all our services. . but u dont see them saying that do u .. ******. . but honestly i wouldnt trust any lube shops that i dont know the people workign on my car personaly . .
